what is your take on this?Agree, people see what they want to justify their flesh.
what is your take on the following?:Again, both are left off before getting drunk. They are the same requirements.
BTW, in the case of the nazirite, they also could not eat grapes, or drink unfermented grape juice, or eat raisins, or (from oral tradition) even eat stuffed grape leaves.
what is your take on the following?:
"
It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted."
Does this, to you, still mean that you can still drink up until the point of getting drunk
I drink a glass of wine almost every night. My points were that there are some offices where it states that wine should not be used, and others in which it is permitted. But we know that the King of Kings drank wine. So did His disciples.
what is your take on this?
"
6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more."
However I still feel guilty If I were to have a beer or two?
Up to the point of your judgement being impaired, which may be before you are visibly drunk.Does this, to you, still mean that you can still drink up until the point of getting drunk
I have asked this before but I wanted to ask in a different forum.
After research I have noticed alcohol is not a sin, drunkeness is.
However I still feel guilty If I were to have a beer or two?
Would like some insight.
In the bible it says if we feel guilty its a sin to us.
I have been brought up my whole life alcohol is bad so maybe thats why i feel this way?
Also, maybe because the culture looks at alcohol as worldly and since things are viewed differently now, I wouldnt want someone to stumble and think im living in sin "only because alcohol is such a problem these days"

Because nowadays it as seen as worldly and not considered christian behavior in the eyes of the world.I think you need to figure out first why this bothers you so much
In the majority of Christian churches wine is used for Holy Communion, so how is it “worldly” and not “Christian behavior” to consume it?Because nowadays it as seen as worldly and not considered christian behavior in the eyes of the world.
So I feel it could hinder my witness and throw a bad message. Thats why I feel guilty.

Because of how much alcohol is an issue in our society. I just said majority of the world doesnt view it as christian behavior. In the majority of Christian churches wine is used for Holy Communion, so how is it “worldly” and not “Christian behavior” to consume it?
But a majority of Christians do view the consumption of alcohol as Christian behavior because it is consumed as part of Holy Communion, a sacrament. Further, I haven't seen any proof in this post that a "majority of the world" doesn't view the consumption of alcohol as christian behavior. Again, I am not in any way suggesting that they abuse of alcohol is alright.Because of how much alcohol is an issue in our society. I just said majority of the world doesnt view it as christian behavior.
