Please, I need you all to pray that God will forgive me. This is serious.

I only got baptised by Immersion in last month and I already done messed up! I don't mean little white lies. I actually did the unimaginable - I couldn't control myself and ended up by 10s of dollars/pounds worth of adult videos. I even gave into great temptations and tuned into a full 15 minute video of nudity. I am more disappointed in myself because I have been trying to focus on God more often, esp since my baptism. Even reading my devotional, my mind still manages to wonder. I feel like at this rate, all my prayers for forgiveness in the past have simply just been in vain if I have just bought a load of videos I shouldn't have.

Most importantly, I am looking forward to a massive Christian event on Friday "Festival Of Life" in my city, I feel like I have a chance of renewing my soul and starting afresh. However, I still plead w you fellow brothers and sister to pray for God to pardon this latest atrocity I have committed and anyone else who may be in a similar position to I am. God bless you all!

Take them back and get your money back or throw them in the trash and confess it to Jesus. Turn away from it. Done deal, that's it. You came to Christ in your baptism I assume ( you accepted Him). Then if so, He is just to forgive you. Don't over think it.

God doesn't forgive us begrudgingly, as though He will forgive you this time, but next time you're out of luck. Rather, He is always quick to forgive those who repent, so there is no need for anyone to pray for God to forgive you when God has already forgiven you. When we do something wrong and God convicts and we repent, then is the end of the story, but Satan will use what we've done to make us feel guilty and to beat us up over something that God has already forgiven us for. Satan would put you in chains, but if you know the truth, then the truth will set you free. Obedience to God isn't about trying to be good enough, but about putting our faith in Him to guide us in how to rightly live and about showing our love for Him, and thereby growing in a relationship with Him based on faith and love.

Heavenly Father, I just thank you for our dear brother here, he's so contrite and well-meaning, but he has a disconnect between what he knows to be true good conduct of a saint and his knowledge of why that is. So I ask that you'll bring him to have a greater and even a sufficient knowledge of why it is so important to turn away from this sin, so that he will then no longer be struggling against his conscience, but he will be utterly resolved to not even desire that kind of behaviour in his world. Meanwhile, I ask that you will extend some relief to his conscience by showing him that indeed he is treasured and that you see and understand all that he is going through, and help him to understand that he can trust you and to rely upon you, and to let this anxiety be washed away altogether along with all insults of the accuser so that he can be at peace in his relationship with you, knowing that he has asked for a thing that is pleasing in your view and by trusting that salvation is your work rather than his, in that way he should be able to let go of his concerns and worries about being a failure, and just listen for what you are teaching him. Finally, for this conference that is coming up at the end of the week, I ask that you'll open his eyes to perceive the things of the spirit, so that the speakers that you have anointed will have such power to speak to his soul, that it cuts through all layers around his heart and pierces a truly life-changing message into his core being. We ask for change in our brother's life in Jesus' name, so that he can be an ever-shining torch of light everywhere he goes. Amen.

Hi there James, just after I posted my prayer for you, The Lord prompted me to come back and offer ministry too. Our brother Soyeong has said this wonderful post that is excellent for me to pick up on, and what I noticed in this, is John 20:23. We who have The Holy Spirit, we recognise genuine contrition and we discern deceit. So when we read your heart as truly being remorseful, we issue forgiveness to you according to the authority given by Jesus. Some people however, are not so genuine when they say they are sorry (if they might have been obligated to say it at all). Their sins we hold against them until such change of heart occurs where there is contrition sufficient for forgiveness. This is how The Catholic Church originally operated, until of course it became institutionalised as all things do when the original leadership changes.

.. So be assured that Jesus is for you, and you are at early stages of growth, but your heart is properly aligned for success in following Him to where He will led you: to be victorious over this. Just, try to go a bit easier on yourself and recognise that falling is going to happen if you haven't yet learned how to stand firm. But every time we fall, it holds an opportunity to learn of our weaknesses and how to be more resilient in future. As I mentioned in my prayer, some of your strength will come when you come to have the correct knowledge and understand why it is important to eliminate the sin - so that it is no longer seen as fighting a natural desire, but as a much more serious thing.

I'd like to share with you this booklet that I made, as I share with people every day. As you read through it, who knows what new understandings you will find in it .. The Lord does, of course!

We will mess up in walks with Christ, when you feel bad for messing up it's the Holy Spirit who convicts our hearts. Nothing will ever surprise God, just ask God to forgive you and help you not to give in to temptation. None of us will be perfect, it's because of this fleshly body we live in that we still sin. But thank God he's merciful and forgiving.

We face many trials, but these trials are supposed to strengthen us rather than destroy us. Just pray and fast if you need to. Peace be with you my friend.

My prayers for forgiveness will be useless. The Blood of our Savior gives forgiveness and you just have o accept it in faith. Your story is a common one in the Christian community. However, many who have fallen have gotten back in right standing with the Almighty. He is called the Father of Mercies for a reason.

It isn't forgiveness that you need, which is always there for you if you sincerely want to repent. You need freedom from a common addiction of our day. Resolving to do better, trying real real hard won't help a bit. Maybe for a few days.

You might want to check out the book and/or the website Every Man's Battle. Maybe you could find some good prayer partners and support partners there. But nothing beats heart felt and humble prayer for just plain ol' help. Fasting can help too but don't over do it as that can stress out your adrenals and that's real bad news.

I pray you will be led to freedom.

James, none of us lives a life of Christ-like perfection. We are all in the process of being perfected in Christ. If you have received Him, you are His. When you mess up, repent and ask Him to forgive you. Then turn away from the sin.

Check out this Scripture: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9 NASB) Not only does He forgives us, He even goes a step farther and cleanses us as well! Can it get better than that?

He loves you so much! Walk in His love.

Confess your sins, repent, and turn from it!!! God is mighty to save. I am a sinner saved by GRACE striving to live for Jesus. He paid the penalty for all of OUR sin. He took it upon HIM. Turn and strive to live for Jesus in all areas. We all fall short, but we have an AMAZING SAVIOR. I am praying for you! You can turn around and get through this!

Father, I pray this dear one will destroy these video, regardless the monetary loss. That they will do this in true repentance and service to You. I pray they will understand Your great desire to forgive the repentant, and that You do not hold these things against them, Hebrews 10:17. I pray they come to understand the greatness in Christ's work on the cross to pay for sins. May they not remain in this doubt of forgiveness, and may You teach them through this experience the great joy in being forgiven, Psalms 32:1. Amen.
