thank God. I know a man who it took 15 years to convert (yes, he was a catechumen that long) because there were certain hurdles he could not get over, and when he was received he knew God called him at the right time.

Some priests too do better with one format or another. I never got calls returned when I would call the Church office (though he does give us his personal number), but Father always us to email him, and that seems to be his way of keeping track. So much goes on, he can't promise anything without having his schedule in front of him.
