Signs of the Day

September has had a lot of hype and the Feast of Trumpets, on the 13/14th is an important event with a future fulfillment. Maybe that will be 2015, but I'm not inclined to think so:
Isaiah 29:1-2 Woe betide Ariel, Jerusalem……when another year has passed with its full round of feasts, I shall reduce her to dire straits…… and then I shall make her My fire Altar. REB
Isaiah 29:1-2 Woe to you Ariel, Jerusalem! Add year to year and let your cycle of festivals go on, yet I will besiege Ariel…..she will be to Me like an Altar hearth. NIV

Isaiah 29:1-2 Woe to Ariel, Jerusalem…..add year to year, let them kill sacrifices. Yet I will distress Ariel…..there will be sorrow and it shall be to Me as a fire Altar. KJV

Then Isaiah 29:5-8 goes on to say how the Lord will also destroy the enemies with a sudden punishment of thunder, earthquakes and flames of devouring fire. Joel 1:15
This all relates to the Sixth Seal forthcoming Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath against the nations.

We know that the Lord will take this action on an Appointed Day, Habakkuk 2:3, Psalms 75:2 and the Day of Trumpets, next Monday, seems a likely candidate. But there are some things that must happen before the Day of wrath:
1/ Where is Elijah? Malachi 4:5, Matthew 17:11
2/ Judah still has its leaders. Isaiah 3:1-7 and Micah 5:1
3/ Is Iran and her allies ready to attack yet? Psalms 83:1-8, Micah 4:11-12

What is prophesied in Isaiah 29, seems to be saying that only after the seven Mo’ed’s of the year have passed, will the Lord take action. The modern Jewish calendar has 1 Tishri as new years day, but the original new year was 1 Nisan.
Therefore for all the Mo’ed’s, spring and fall, to have taken place this year, the last is Tabernacles on the 28th September.

I do not see Tabernacles as being the Day of wrath, as that Day means ‘God dwells with us’ and will be the Day of Jesus’ Return. The final Day of Trumpets may be the commencement of the Great Tribulation, Revelation 8:6 and Atonement after the Seventh Trumpet. Revelation 11:15-19
So when is the Day of Wrath? The prophet Haggai 2:20-22 tells us, three times! On the 24th day of Kislev, which is the 5th December 2015. Or next year?

Sorry, B777, your premise just doesn't hold up.
The plain reading of Malachi 4:5, is that God will send Elijah [a physical person] before, that is: a short time before He acts to fulfil the Day of His wrath.
We have a situation now, worldwide, that must be unacceptable to the Lord. He will take action soon to correct it.
It may be that this Elijah will come only to the Jews, but as he is to reconcile the families, then we of the House of Israel, or grafted in, should hear from him somehow.
Re 2/ The Leaders of Israel are referred to again in Isaiah 22:3 These prophesies will happen soon.
Re 3/ Iran has the green light to make nukes, they will and they intend to use them against Israel. That will trigger the DoW.

According to Scripture, the Church is a JEWISH entity, dating back to the time of Moses, and was EXCLUSIVELY Jewish for 1500+ years.
Only through Paul's Ministry was the Fullness of this Jewish covenant relationship with God opened up to gentile inclusion, but the "church", the Nazarene sect of Biblical Judaism, is a Jewish Entity at it's core. Always was and always will be.
There is no such thing as "the Gentile Church".

Rather than using the word 'Jewish', a better term for the Lord's people is Israelite Christians. [or Israelite Nazarenes]
Yes the Israelite church is open to people from every tribe, nation and language. After the Lord's Day of wrath, the Sixth Seal world changing event, they will all gather in the Holy Land, as we see in Revelation 7:9

rdclmn, your hope of a rapture removal is unfounded and un-Biblical, After the Day of wrath, which everyone will experience, Luke 21:34-35, 2 Peter 3:12, the Lord will 'take thought for His sheep....after a Day of cloud and darkness....Ezekiel 34:11-31 They will live in peace and prosperity, all as prophesied, until Jesus Returns for His Millennial reign.
