Dear Tellastory,

"#2) Being around "holy rollers": inviting them into your home or going to that kind of a church where they preach receiving the "Spirit" again after a sign or any of those healing crusades that promote healing directly by the Holy Spirit as if by descending on them in a spectacular way in some sort of sensation in the flesh. Don't go there.
#3) Fellowshipping with those in the occults. Don't do that. You can witness to them, but keeping company with them is not wise."
You seem to equate people who experience the in-filling of the Holy Spirit as in Acts chapter 2 and who believe in Divine healing with those who are involved in the occult. May I tell you with all love and caring that you are treading on dangerous ground. There is an occasion in the New Testament where people committed the "unpardonable sin" by attributing the things of the Spirit to the devil. Be very, very careful. I caution you with love.
You also said:
"The Holy Spirit is the Comforter as dwelling within us: not the Mediator as being at that throne of grace as being inbetween us. That's the Son's job."
Scripture says: "Not by might, nor by power, but BY MY SPIRIT, SAYS THE LORD!" By limiting the work of the Holy Spirit to simply dwelling in us to comfort us you are saying, "God, I'll let you do this much, but no more." That is very sad. He is a BIG, BIG GOD!!
The Divine healings that take place ARE the work of the Holy Spirit. I have experienced healing in my own body and I have prayed for people who have been healed. I don't roll on the floor or bark like a dog. I believe that the Holy Spirit is to be reverenced and stood in awe of. He is precious!
Sometimes, there is no physical sensation at all, because God can do what He wants. Sometimes, there is a feeling of electricity running through your body. The feeling is wonderful. Not scary. Definitely GOD! Definitely Good! Sometimes, there is a warmth in the area that needs healing, sometimes not. But the Holy Spirit is the One who does the Work of God. No one else.
The Holy Spirit is the same as the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of God. God and Jesus are ONE because they share the same Spirit. And because, when we talk to the Holy Spirit, we are talking to God, we talk to Him in Jesus' name.
Jesus said, "I send you another Comforter." That word comforter in the original Greek means "Advocate" somewhat like an attorney. If you didn't talk to your attorney, your case might be pretty limited. God doesn't have a problem with us talking to Him in Jesus' name, whether we talk to the Father, the Son, or the sweet Holy Spirit. They are ONE.
