Well then if you think Jesus meant for the disciples to use those swords they must have split up just in two groups. In your way of thinking it would have been better for Jesus to tell them to just take along a rock.

I will ask you to find me some evidence where the Apostles ever, after they received the Holy Spirit, used a sword in defense of themselves or anyone else.

You use a lam excuse like David and his slingshot, while ignoring what some theologians think about the two swords. You are not even trying to be reasonable. But keep it up because all the people who read this will come to see how pathetic your arguments are.

The Scriptures tell us the story of the establishment of the church by the preaching of the gospel. The gospel was not to be established by force, and therefore, we're not going to see the apostles trying to establish the kingdom by force. When Peter tried that by slicing off the ear of the soldier, he was rebuked, because that wasn't how God ordained the establishment of the Kingdom.

You got that right, but our judgments are to be based on the fruit. You pervert God's justice and slander His servant when you imply that a woman who displayed godly character and faith by confronting evil to protect innocent life was, herself, under the power of the evil one.
I am not the paid security guard’s judge. A person who caries a gun for hire is of the world, and God will judge the World.

(John 12:48) “He who rejects me and refuses my words has his judge already: the word itself that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.”

(Matthew 5:39) “You have learnt how it was said: ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance.”

(Matthew 5:43-44) “You have learnt how it was said, you must love your neighbor and hate your enemy, but I say this to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

(Luke 6:27-29) “But I say this to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who treat you badly. To the man who slaps you on one cheek, present the other cheek too; to the man who takes you cloak from you, do not refuse your tunic.”

(Romans 12:18-21) “Do all you can to live at peace with everyone. Never try to get revenge; leave that, my friends, to God’s anger. As scripture says: ‘vengeance is Mine I will pay them back, the Lord promises,’ but there is more: if your enemy is hungry, you should give him food, and if he is thirsty, let him drink. Thus you heap red-hot coals on his head. Resist evil and conquer it with good.”

You are her "judge" in the sense that you have judged her to be of the world and not of the faith. It's right and proper to make judgments, but we are to make right judgments based upon a right standard. This, too, is Scriptural.

Protecting innocent life is not "revenge," nor is legal justice through legitimate authorities. You can quote all the Scripture you want, but as long as your foundational assumptions are false, so will your application be.

I know I won't convince someone who's so enamored with his own fanciful opinions that he believes he can bypass Scriptural exegesis and get his theology straight from the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ. I've only responded to express to you how reprehensible I find your ethics. On one thing, I think we can agree. You and I aren't worshipping the same God.

I have quoted the Word of God. So far all you have shared are your feelings. If I am wrong then you must believe there is some thing I’m missing. Show me the scriptures, which prove me wrong. My God is The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is my lord and my God. Now show me where your God tells me I’m wrong.

Amen! That is why Jesus gave us his Holy Spirit, and also said his people would hear his voice.

So? Are you saying you are not his people?

You can be a believer and wish to follow the wrong voice after you are saved. The Epistles are full of examples of believers following a wrong way. I would not be so quick to declare yourself an unbeliever for that reason.

Two swords would have been enough. Look what God did with a young man and a rock or one man and jawbone.

That was God the Holy Spirit who gave the strength to do that. The same Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Judges 15:14-15 (New International Version)
"As he approached Lehi, the Philistines came toward him shouting. The Spirit of the LORD came upon him in power. The ropes on his arms became like charred flax, and the bindings dropped from his hands. 15 Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men."

Samson did not sin when he did that.... It was God's will.

I guess if I call those who oppose this reality a bunch of sissy - wimps?

They could not report it.

For they believe in doing nothing to hurt another.

What's worse? Seeing you wife being raped, and doing nothing? Or, being called a wimpy- sissy, and doing nothing?
;)

Should I do it to find out? ^_^

The Jews will applaud your understanding. The Jews still live the Old Testament Law. Jesus came to complete the Law and he said: (Matthew 5:39) “You have learnt how it was said: ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance.”
(Matthew 5:43-44) “You have learnt how it was said, you must love your neighbor and hate your enemy, but I say this to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Notice Jesus said how it was, but he then changed how we are to react to our enemies, and evil people.

Well, I've done enough going after giver...

I guess a lot of us can have some pretty out there kind of applications to the bible as apparently seems this to be.

ah, drats, thought of a question though may have already been posed.

Giver,

I see your age listed, and i don't know if that's your real age, but if so, well... I dunno, nevermind.

My question is, if not already asked, how do you know it was God telling you thus as you state were told by God as pertains to this topic.

here's who is influenced by your belief:

 • your family and any people you know as friends or strangers irl who you've shared this with
 • those reading here online who due to reading, have also made it their belief
 • depending on your church, your church (if you attend one and share this with others there)
 • whoever all above will convey same to, also other generations who this is passed down to, and any I may have missed
Pretty hefty responsbility. No different here, in what I say as well in whatever I post, which may be out there, but I do go to bed and give heavy thought and talk to God as pertains more often than not, cause what I say could well, have many implications, and if I'm way out there on something and the same above take it and multiply it, and what I conveyed somehow leads one down the wrong path, hence many, though one alone is enough for me to sweat as I lay in bed pondering what I posted, said, etc.

Have you ever done that?

Have you ever thought, wow, what if I'm wrong on this?

Have you ever gone to bed pondering this and sweated bullets wondering what if what I say is not correct and others believed me?

Or and was this a one time shot from God, you recieved and that was all you needed. No need to see if the puzzle piece fits, as God told you and that's enough?

And again, how do you know it was God gave you your message?

thanks,

Jesus personally told me that we were not to hurt anyone for any reason.

Jesus told you this? Did He say what made Him change His mind?

I mean, look at the OT. He obviously had no problem hurting people then, did He?

When Jesus made a whip and started throwing the vendors out of the temple, that must have hurt them.

How about when He instructed the government to carry out capital punishment? That hurts people, doesn't it?

What did Jesus expect His followers to do with the swords He instructed them to go out and buy?

The written Word of God tells us the same thing.

(Matthew 5:44) “But I say this to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you;”

(Matthew 5:39) “You have learnt how it was said: ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance

Actually, these verses only tell us that we shouldn't seek revenge, not that we should never use force, if necessary.

Let me share something with you. I was in my forties married with two children, a Catholic who went to Mass and Communion almost every day, when Jesus started calling me into his ministry. I had two years and a number of miracles happen around me before I finally accepted God’s call. The miracle that finally convinced me that I should say yes was my baby daughter who was born blind was healed. Even then I asked for a sign that it was really Jesus asking me to be a minister. I asked to pray in tongues that night if it was really God calling me. I prayed in tongues for the first time that night. I have had thirty years of Jesus/Holy Spirit personally teaching me. I am not a pastor, nor do I accept support from man. Thirty years ago Jesus told me a time was coming soon when man would suffer more than he has ever suffered. I was to give a word and leave. Out of that word a community would grow. He wanted a place of safety for his people. Jesus/Holy Spirit has told me many things, but the most important could be this: “No matter who tells you anything about God, be it a priest, bishop or anyone, we are to ask Jesus if it is right or wrong.”

How in the world can you get that Jesus was only talking about revenge in these verses?(Matthew 5:44) “But I say this to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you;”

(Matthew 5:39) “You have learnt how it was said: ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance.”

Does his statement “offer the wicked man no resistance” sound like he is talking about revenge?

Key word here being "persecute you".

(Matthew 5:39) “You have learnt how it was said: ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance.”

"An eye for an eye" is refering to revenge.

Does his statement “offer the wicked man no resistance” sound like he is talking about revenge?

No, but the first half of the verse does.

You seem to like to take verses out of context. Why is that?

And while we're at it, I notice that you're very fond of saying "God told me", but never offer any scripture to back it up. Why is this?

I have quoted the Word of God. So far all you have shared are your feelings. If I am wrong then you must believe there is some thing I’m missing. Show me the scriptures, which prove me wrong. My God is The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is my lord and my God. Now show me where your God tells me I’m wrong.

Others have shown you Scriptures, and I've alluded to Scriptural principles, but prooftexts have not meaning to the person who won't deal with them with integrity. We've all told you and shown you what you're missing, but you believe what you believe, and you've shown yourself determined to take Scriptures out of context to offer as a pretext rather than a prooftext.

What, pray tell, would be the point of quoting Scripture when you've already freely admitted that this wasn't a conclusion you came to from Scripture but rather, it was a personally whispered in your ear from the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself?

Notice Jesus said how it was, but he then changed how we are to react to our enemies, and evil people.

We are to love our enemies. We can pray for them as they outwardly reveal their hatred. But? When they start shooting and killing people? That's where it ends. A slapped cheek is not a wounded body. Jesus did not say, when someone stabs you, offer your wife as well.

And, if we execute a captured enemy? We can pray for their salvation... not to see them burn in Hell.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (New International Version)
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects
,

always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

2 Timothy 1:7 (New International Version)

"For God
did not give us a spirit of timidity,
but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline."

You keep saying you have been shown me that I am wrong, but never back up your statements with anything. All you or any of your “WE” have shown me is where you all believe I am wrong. The scriptures used have not ever said Christians were ever to use force against anyone. Come on, maybe you could at least show me where any of the apostles, after they were baptized with the Holy Spirit, ever used a weapon in defense of anyone.

Now you want people to believe that sticking a sword, putting a bullet, blowing up, burning, people loves them? I suppose you also believe doing any of those things isn’t offering the evil man any resistance? Is it because your enemy isn’t evil?

Hi, thank you for sharing.

I praise God for your daughters healing.

Are you saying that 30 years ago Jesus said that 'a time is coming', then you gave a word or talk and a community developed? If so, what do you mean.

And if so, what do you mean as pertains to a community of safety for his people. Are you saying there is one somewhere?

And why would one exist on earth? That further contradicts God's words, Jesus' words.

Asking for signs is not a thing we are to do. Jesus said no signs will be given this generation but Jonah

In the NT.. This generation refers to us, all who come to faith since Christ, and until the rapture (if rapture does occur.) If not - until the end. So Jesus says wicked men ask for a sign, I tell you none will be given it but the sign of Jonah, and then he mentions what that's about. (His death and resurrection.)

Signs have always been discouraged iirc in the bible. Though was given in ot and lots were drawn in nt for the new Apostle who replaced Judas.

You at that time were a new believer if I follow right, so you would not know such at the time. Which is okay of course as new Christians we are babes and out of innocence and trust say and ask anything on our hearts as should do all our lives and God would never do anything to harm us. But we do see as we grow what to be wary of. Signs.. and Jesus telling you things which do not align with the word.

I would not think that is Jesus, as you see, all I wrote before who may read this, all those who may read this thread countless number of people in the list of those who may have heard you regarding your op and if any believe it, then now they are in error and further they will do same and lead others into error.

As to tongues being a sign. I dunno about that, but will keep it to myself.

You first had to see a miracle to believe in Jesus.

that's okay.

Then you ask for a sign from God.

not so hot.

You were testing God, and the Lord is not to be tested. Just a thought. But again, you didn't know not to ask for a sign and surely there are many who do ask for signs today..i'm just rattling off stuff as i go.

But as I am not God and do not know your heart, I can only give opinion and is only such, and don't please feel hurt or put down at what I'm saying; I know if such as you say is of God you'll not have any problems with what I say which again are just my thoughts.

The only protection we read of iirc in the nt, is given the 144,000 during the tribulation. And perhap Moses and Elijah, also during tribulation. In the tribulation there is another protection; for I believe the Hebrews, or Jews..little rusty on that, but fairly sure is in Revelation.

Are you talking about the tribulation? Or are you talking about a community came about in your area due to a talk or speech you gave?

If so what does the purpose serve, and why would God provide safety to some Christians and not others, and why would God tell us we will suffer persecution, etc. and then create a community of safety? It doesn't fit with God's word.

Or are you speaking such as a place like a hospital to be built, or such like that.

I have read books of chinese, persecuted chinese of course, who have no more than a corner of scripture, a few verses, all they have and with just that and with whatever was given mouth to mouth, underground, hence they had little to knowledge of the bible, and are believers in Christ, with all that occurred to these, nothing which occurred did not line up with the bible, and to boot, they had no clue to hardly anything contained in the bible.

It's like reading the book of Acts, but the point again is it all lines up with God's word and does not deviate, such as to what you are proclaiming in the thread, your op post.

Again, they did not have biblical knowlege and all occurred lines up with Gods word.

What you say in op does not, and you have to know it does not. I mean you can not miss it, so you are telling yourself something for whatever reason and not seeing what you are saying does not line up in the least with God's word, as to the op post.

If something were given me by anyone, especially claiming to be Jesus, by prayer or whatever, and it were not in the bible, nor line up with the bible, I would not accept it in the least.

God would not tell me to do something against His teachings and will.

Nor, has such ever occurred to me. Jesus telling me to do something or never to do something, except as is contained in the bible.

Nor does the Holy Spirit bring things to us that are not in the word, or align with the word.

That is, if you'll forgive me, as to the topic at hand, tho I've not been here in a few days, what I was reading in beginning or such, what you say in no way aligns with God's word.

Those two things alone, would give me great pause. Not pause, I would run actually.

God will not give something that goes against his word, and while I've not read all your defenses throughout here, brother there is serious error. I have no need to read all your defenses as clearly what you said earlier is in no wise in line with God's word.

I agree, I do not take anything from man. I take it from the bible. If someone says something, if it doesn't align with the word, and even if it does, takes many to much thought as to the very many many scriptures that may also come into play.

I don't read theologians, nor commentaries, etc, as it's another mans understanding of the word, same as I can have..though mine, will be much less than could be as am not studied in languages, history, culture, etc, but none the less, with all the theologies out there and each theologian backing it up with scripture for their wholly opposite than other theologians who also back theirs up with scripture, well, that's the state of the church, fairly sad, and people need to be their own reseracher of the word, by the word, and if need language help get language help, etc.

Though a time and a place for all things. Each man is okay wherever they are at, and it's okay. I just see it all as poison teaching another mans teaching from the pulpit and if people do not say well, why doesn't this scripture match up, they will accept what is given.

Am extremely cautious as to any helps.

And I know very little as to much in the bible, but what I do know is my own; as much as I have tossed off popular preach teach, etc. which I never had much of anyway.

So, I dont know how many years you've been as to your op belief. You didn't say yet how many years ago that you believe Jesus told you what you say he told you.

Ah, whatever i write is just my thoughts.

And I appreciate the admonition, that always know from the word truth, you say Jesus but the bible is where one goes and can also pray to Jesus, but one won't get anything beyond what is written.

Except as things as pertains to... I'm gonna use you to.. God doesn't say it basically (tho maybe some have said he does and maybe such does occur) to be an evangelist, hence billy graham. Though Billy Graham was not given in that manner, things fell in place iirc, as have read almost all auto and biographies tho was over 10 years back.

and of course there are thousands more millions more given tasks.

but no task will not line up with Gods word. Such as with Jim Jones, drink this koolaid, tho i dont think they had a chance anyway

So can you tell me about the place of safety as i wrote in the beginning. Are you referring to a community somehwere, or do you think you are referring to the tribulation.

I'm glad you have studied God's word many years, that is awesome.

But is clear, somehow as theologians also do...they will neglect other scripture to support their theories.

Job says God givea and God takes away.

Preachers say the same thing.

Job was wrong. We know he is wrong. satan is the one who murdered his family not God.

Next chapter;

Job says and pastors teach same

Why should we accept only good from the Lord and not the bad.

Job was wrong. He had no clue what was going on, but God revealed it to us. Just as we can not see the spiritual realm, neither could Job, it's what he thought was occuring but same as chapter one, he was wrong and was not as he says;

As God in no wise did the bad, satan did.

In the same manner and this is just a lite example, this is typical of preachers teach things and they've never thought it out to the truth and just keep passing the teaching down and down and down, and usually from someone they read. tho the bit with Job is global.

and you may be doing the same thing.

to make it fit, you neglect the others..is what im saying

anyway, it's an honor to talk with you, excuse my brashness please..I'm sorry..

just feel I should speak and u shared with me.

In the end, of course what is right for you is what you should do, but one can say I do this because is how I feel, but to lay it on God when is not of God, is troubling, and leads other astray imo..

Jesus personally told me that we were not to hurt anyone for any reason.

When God tells us something it is very dangerous to ignore what he says. Right?

5:39 But I say unto you, Do not resist evil (with evil): but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also (and thereby neutralize the evil with good).

We as followers of Christ still are under orders to enforce the Law of God.

The Law of God call for executions for many crimes.

Satan's system demon-crazy, communism etc make God Law illegal in the modern day world.

We (Men) as followers of Christ must have our sword (weapon) and with Gods help tread down these evil anti-God systems and those that stand up for them.

It may not come to using the weapon if the people toss out satan's systems, etc.

Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the Day cometh, that shall burn like an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the "I AM" Lord of hosts, that it shall leave of them neither root nor branch (nothing).
4:2 But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in The Day that I shall do [this], saith the "I AM" Lord of hosts.
4:4 Remember ye and return to The Law of Moses My servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, [with] the Statutes and Judgments.
4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the "I AM":
4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Matt.10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a "Sword".

Rev.1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] LIKE unto the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breast with a golden breast-plate.
1:14 His head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire;
1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.
1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the First and the Last:

1:18
I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the Keys of hell and of death.

"Jesus told you about the Roman centurion. When the centurion asked him to cure his servant, he said, "I haven't found so much faith, no, not in Israel." - as in this man (Matt. 8:5-10,13; Luke 7:1-10). Then he made the statement that, "many shall come from the East and West, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the Kingdom of Heaven", and the children of the Israelites would be cast out into outer darkness (Matt. 8:11-12).

So, it's no good just being a racial Israelite and thinking that everything depends on that, and you don't have to do anything. If you're not championing God's Cause to reinstate His Laws, Statutes, and Judgments, and to set-up His Kingdom on Earth, then you're not really an Israelite - not in the true sense of the word. You claim to be one of His people, but you can't be His people if you don't obey Him.

You are the children of whom you obey. If you obey God you are His children, if you obey Satan then you are Satan's children. You must choose whom you will obey (Josh. 24:14-15).

Think about that. Think about it very, very carefully. Who are you really serving? If you don't fight them, then you are part of the problem and you are serving the New World Order, and they are serving Satan, and that means that by default you are serving Satan. In the words of Edmund Burke, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph, is that good men do nothing". You have to fight these people. God has told you if you don't do it and reinstate His Laws, that He's going to burn you up, because it's only through your works, by fighting these people and reinstating God's Law, that you will prove to God whose side you are on (2Esdras 9:7; James 2:12-26). It's no good just saying, "oh, well, we're on your side, but we're going to sit here and do nothing and we're going to help the New World Order, because we're not going to fight them." There is no sitting on the sidelines as a spectator - YOU have to fight them. Anyone who is not actively fighting for God against evil, His Way, is automatically helping Satan and his Hidden Hand system, and will NOT be among the "Elect" (Matt. 22:1-14).
Why would you WANT to actively or passively help the Hidden Hand achieve their goals?" JAH

I really do think that explains about everything.

Now? What was wrong with Paul? Did God tell you? Why would Paul use such language, if the Christian was not to relate to it?

1 Corinthians 14:8 (New International Version)
"Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?"

Why would Paul use such an illustration, if its unchristian to think on those things?

Matthew 8:10 (New International Version)
"When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.
"

Why did Jesus say those wonderful things about the Roman Centurion? Jesus never told him about not harming anyone. Centurions were fierce warriors in battle.

Add to that?

Romans 13:3-4 (New International Version)
"For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority?

Then do what is right and he will commend you.
For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
"

Tell us? The Lord who spoke to you?

Did he give you his name?

Was it Michael Dukakis?

Why would Paul use such an illustration, if its unchristian to think on those things? Well I guess he didn’t think it was unchristian to explain something using those terms. Now you can believe or use words such as this to ignore what Jesus said to us, but you are on very thin ice.

Matthew 8:10 (New International Version)

"When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.

You have to remember that Jesus was still under the Old Law, and so were all Jew’s.

When someone accepts Jesus as their savior, one doesn’t suddenly understand all that Jesus commanded. They are given the Holy Spirit and then the Holy Spirit decides at what pace one learns.

Add to that?

Romans 13:3-4 (New International Version)

"

(Acts 4:19-20) “You must judge whether in God’s eyes it is right to listen to you and not to God. We cannot promise to stop proclaiming what we have seen and heard.”

If a government tells a Christian to do anything that goes against the command of God a Christian has to obey God not the government.

When you stand before Jesus on judgment day do you really believe the excuses you have been using, not to obey what Jesus told us about killing, will be accepted?
