Ya see? Nothing but defense for the queers and their vulgar and blasphemous mocking of religion...
no condemnation for what they've done. only a picture of some nutcase holding a sign and the feeble excuse that basically two wrongs make a right...
What exactly are homosexuals doing that harms you in your daily life? Nothing. But Freddy Phelps and other people as such go to funerals of dead gays/soldiers and protest while they try to mourn.

While I don't participate in vulgar attacks on other people's beliefs (frankly, I grew out of shouting "poo" as a way of getting attention when I was five), what specifically are you arguing should be done?

If you want to counterprotest, fine. It's as much your right to stand up for what you believe in as anyone else's.

But if you're calling for the banning of free expression, because it offends you, you really need to think of the possible ramifications. Any law that's used against gay demonstrators, can also be used against Christians. The best legal protection for religious belief is, and always will be, a society where people are free to express their viewpoints, irregardless of the views of others.

Otherwise, you end up like Iran. Of course, these demonstrators you dislike so much wouldn't have been allowed to do this there. Do you think that would be preferable?

Meanwhile, more attacks on Christianity by San Frans queer community... LINK

now, had this been a Christian organization mocking anything homosexual it would have been front page news (some senator's pen would be smoking from drafting more hate crimes legislation) but as it was commited against the Church... it's no big deal.

Interesting, but in this case the "attack", for those who believe this was an attack, would seem to be by the Catholic bishop, not the people receiving communion. Another case of Fundamentalists trying to invent persecution.

So everyone on Folsom street agrees with this. I imagine not.
Would it matter? I don't agree with a lot of people, but I support their right to have gatherings.

I'm still not seeing what the big deal is. It's a fabricated controversy, and there are much more important things to worry about than a bunch of people wearing leather and spanking each other.

You people are just proving my point. This was a couple of queers going into a Church, disrupting service and mocking the communion service...

and all you can talk about is how bad Christians are.

(...and a note to whomever keeps reporting my posts- I'll use the word QUEER as long as the queers use the word to describe themselves i.e. queer nation, etc. ... or is it like the N word? Gotta be one to call one?)

..and back to this so-called street fair- Did anyone see the reports about the crucifix shaped [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]? This street fair is one of the most vile and disgusting things I have ever see. And people are suppose to accept THIS as natural sexual behavior? Absolutely sickening. Does anyone still want to say this public orgy (not a fair) doesn't attack Christianity?

Please stop suggesting blacks as a group refer to each other as that word.

The Most Holy Redeemer Church (the one in question) is a strong supporter of homosexual rights. Furthermore, the archbishop did provide communion to the individuals in question. You're being offended for yourself, not for anyone else. These people did nothing to you, but now you're ragging on them. They simply offend your sensibilities because you don't like gay people.

Why? The crucifix isn't even unique to Christianity, criminals were executed on sticks of wood long before the so-called Jesus.
More ignorance. You would even pretend to believe that that blasphemous piece of filth is just a thief on a cross?
You aren't that stupid - no matter how hard you try at it...

Can you actually be defending what the sisterhood of perpetual indulgence does and claiming to be a Christian at the same time?

Like water and oil.

If trying to shield my brother from your vitriol makes me less Christian, then I'll reject the whole damn religion before I let you have your way.

You're just looking for things to be offended by.

You don't have to be Christian to be offended that such indecent acts can take place on a street in the United States of America...

It is hard to fathom how someone can claim to be Christian and NOT be offended by such things, however...
