go george!
however, i'm not sure how well he'll do if he wins. he seems more like the type of music the older people would listen to. and it seems like AI turn people into pop stars. bad. he could do well without AI though.

someone for the young ones...it should be jpl. he has more of that pop star image. i mean...that's what AI is about.

but still...i'm going for george.

sorry if i don't make sense.

I think they should do away with America voting on who proceeds to the next round. By now, all voters have chosen their favorite, so they vote for them, regardless of their actual talent. We've seen some really awesome people get booted because people won't and don't vote based on talent. They vote based on looks (that's why Camile is still in) or their relation to the contestant (i.e. all in High Point, NC are most probably voting for Fantasia).

If we hadn't been given the privilege to vote, Amy Adams would still be there. She's the talent to win it all.
George Huff, Jon Peter Lewis, and John Stevens would be gone. And Camile Velasco would have been gone long before now.

I disagree about George...the judges, as well as the voters have loved him every week. Even if America didn't vote, George would still be in it. I agree with you about Jon and JPL, though.

I'm not sure who I want to win. Anyone remember the audition episodes? One of the judges (Simon, I think) kept going on about how they were really going to 'step it up'. I was expecting 10 phenomenal finalists. Instead, I just think they're 'Ok'. Honestly, I know people who can sing much better than the contestants on AI do. It's fun to watch, but I am a bit disappointed this season.

Lesse...

Since Fantasia seems to be a topic of discussion. I like her, but I'm into her voice. She does get a point from me for being an NC girl. Word to my peeps.

Jon Stevens...I think he's got a good voice for big band and jazz (I grew up with jazz, etc..). I don't think he's got a good voice for pop music though, and I am very surprised he made it even this far.

Actually, I want Amy Adams to win...of course, that's impossible now XP

here's why the voting system is stupid on American Idol.

Let's say we have 1,000,000 people trying to vote.

Now, each phone line can take a certain number of votes per hour (this is why you are always getting busy signals if you try to vote). Let's say the maximum number of votes a particular phone line can handle in 1 hour is 1,000.

Now, let's say the least popular contestant has 2000 people trying to vote for him in one hour. Because the maximum number of votes the phone lines can handle is 1000, he will receive the same number of votes in that one hour span as the most popular contestant, even if you have 100,000 people trying to vote for the most popular contestant. Both contestants will receive only 1000 votes even though you have 2000 and 100,000 people trying to vote for those contestants respectively.

This is why the votes are so close each week. This is why Reuben beat out Clay by less than 1% of the total vote last year.

i cannot believe that john stevens is still on the show, or jpl for that matter. as much as i would have liked to pull for the latter.........he just does not have much talent. latoya has blown me away a few times but has become rather ordinary of late. jasmine is cute as can be and she might go far, regardless of how she fares on this show. i do like fantasia. she is spunky and confident and different. nuf said........peace

John Peter Lewis can't dance worth anything. His voice is mediocre. I still can not figure out how John Stevens is left. He can only sing Sinatra, even then his voice is so-so. He can't do pop at all, "My Girl" was a train wreck. Jennifer Hudson is average. I like George Huff and Fantasia the best. La Toya is good too. I think George Huff wins it all, he has a rich voice. Please America, vote John Paul Lewis and John Stevens off already!!!!

well I missed the last minutes so who got voted off, I love jon stevens he is different and his voice is beautiful. I dont think there are many singers who can see every genre which is good that there are so many, I mean how many rock stars do you know that sing country. I think that fantasia sang beautiful this week however I dont think she has every week in every style.

Ug...well now that JPL is gone...I don't have much motivation to watch. I still like John Stevens' style...but he isn't gonna win. And I don't really like the genre of any of the other singers. I occasionally enjoy George though...so I'm hoping he'll win.

I agree wholeheartedly with almost everything you said. I don't know how JPL and John Stevens have lasted this long. I like 1. Fantasia, 2. LaToya, 3. George and Jennifer tied. Please someone let me know who got kicked off last night. I couldn't miss Survivor to find out. We tuned in during a comercial break so I know it got down to the 2 Johns. So glad to see that. Which one is gone?

JPL is gone. My little singing hobbit. :( But I'm glad, the others are SOOO much better. I think Jon Stevens will be gone next week...then Diana (not because she can't sing, only because she's TOO perky and slightly annoying).

JPL should go into acting, now that he's gone.
George seems really sweet, nice, sensitive, etc., but I just don't think he has the talent to win it all.
I agree with what Simon said about John Stevens. He's too young to five figured out his style. His voice is really weak, too.
Fantasia's performance this last time was AMAZING. I was blown away (I didn't watch it, but I heard it).
Jennifer...I do like her hair! She doesn't look like an Aborigine anymore. Her voice is alright.
