Great book!

I loved it. I also reccommend "The Testament". It's a great book about a missionary in tribal Brasil. It was amazingly non-judgemental of Christians and actually held them in postive regards.

Also, I read "A Painted House" recently, that is a pretty good book (for the non-faint of heart) due to some graphic images, but it may be the world's newest literary masterpiece. I read it in a creative writing course just a couple of weeks ago.

Zach- I have read all of those books by Grisham. Actually, I think I have read all of his except "Skipping Christmas". But I think "The Testament" is my favorite! I agree, I like the way Christanity is portrayed in that one. And "A Painted House" made me squirm in an couple of places. But all in all, it was a good book.

What do you think about the way "The Summons" ended? I wasn't ready for it to be over but all of a sudden it was!

AndiLynn-hope you do get to read some this summer! Grisham is definitely one of my favorite authors. Everytime I think I have things figured out, he throws something in I wasn't expecting and changes the whole thing!

[GLOW=skyblue]John Grisham is pretty much my favorite author, I love the way he writes. When I first was told that I should read Grisham because he is good, and then learned he wrote books on law, I thought it would be the most boring thing ever. But the way he writes it is great, it's not boring at all. I have read all the books except for The Summons, and am positive I will enjoy that as well.[/GLOW]

The summons was great... I loved the ending, but don't give it away since my wife looks at this forum once in a while and I don't want her to see the ending before she reads the book.

She really enjoyed the Christmas one, but I never got around to it. She is a Grisham Freak! Have you read "The Partner" yet?

My favortie Grisham novel would definately have to be the Testament too.
