I find it a bit disconcerting how this man has ushered Christians over to a new place where the value of ones word is so degraded. And boasting, trolling, and lying is as good as any other thing one could say.

Being satirical doesn't degrade one's words. It simply shows they have a sense of humor. In this instance, it also exposes those who don't have a sense of humor.

I think there is a meaningful difference between Trump's rhetoric and for example Biden's. Biden is generally serious. He typically means what he says, for a politician at least. Same with a lot of other politicians. Trump doesn't. Trump's all talk. He doesn't mean any of it. If Trump says something egregious it's easy to shrug it off because we all know he doesn't mean what he says. Poisoning the blood of our country

So you think he doesn't need to be held to the same standards as teenagers working in fast food restaurants.

Or teachers who posted on Facebook after Charlie Kirk was assassinated (not praising the assassination, but only speaking the truth about many of Kirk's untenable positions.)

They'd get fired---but we should shrug off far worse from the president?

Oh, then you agree that Newsom has a great sense of humor. I did laugh at Newsom discussing his MRI, so amazing that his little grey cells were golden, causing the blind in the hospital to rush to see the sight and the paraplegics to jump out of their beds to view the amazing MRI.
The golden Trump sneakers on his feet were a nice touch, too.

What's scary is that the person who originally talked about his MRI being the most remarkable ever imaged is talking seriously. I'm in my 70's and only had two MRI's in my life. Ain't never going to have a pure MRI at that age.

What's it gonna be? Do you think satire degrades one's words, or do you laugh about it? You've claimed both in just 2 posts, but it seems to depend solely upon the person doing the satire and whether you personally like them. Is that the standard we should all go by?

The reason US folks are called Americans and other countries in the North, Central and South America aren't is because the US has it in the name of the country - the United States of America. That is the official name.
There is no Canada of America, or Brazil of America, or Peru of America. The US is the only country with it in their name.

The other folks are from the Americas, and go by their country's name.

Yes probably they do create some of his soc media "content". But we have enough out of his own mouth to form a judgement.

How about judging that he clearly isn't a king by the fact that people are being allowed to "protest" without being arrested and beheaded, which is what used to happen when a king didn't want to be protested against.
Besides, the government would be open if Trump was a king. A king wouldn't have to wait for 5 democrats to cooperate with the majority vote.

The video is one that Trump posted which was done by AI and shows Trump with a crown on his head, flying a jet plane and dumping poop on protesters.

I don't know how it is done. Probably one of his team did it and he posted it.
