It looks like many people believe Yahovah God is not a just god and sends people to Hell. Hell is a much misunderstood concept, but that is not for this thread. If there is justice in Eternity, then there must be punishment for crimes committed and it follows that obedient people will be blessed for following the commands Yehovah and Yashua have had recorded for us to live by. But God sends no one into the Lake of Fire (Eternal Torment). Yashua will be the Judge, being Perfect and a Just Judge, He will honor your choice and will not violate His Holy Instructions He has left for us to live by or to reject, and by doing so, choose to spend Eternity separated from Heaven and God. It is your choice!

We reap what we sow.

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, and he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." (Galatians 6:7-8)

We are choosing what we sow, all the time. And then there will come the reaping of so much more than our little seeds which we did choose to sow.

So . . . where are we investing our attention, all through the day?? Are we choosing to be submissive to God and prayerful so we are doing what He in us has us doing?

"for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)

Or, are we depending on our own human free wills, and getting frustrated and nasty and controlling as we try to force what we dictate?

In Jesus, we become more and more gentle and humble and all-loving and generously forgiving. And we tenderly share with one another and grow in family relating with one another. We treasure loving as family, not living in isolated self-controlling without submitting to God in His peace >

"'Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.'" (Matthew 11:29)

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." (Colossians 3:15)

How we are becoming is how we will reap ourselves to become for eternity. In the resurrection we will be multiplied greatly in how we have been becoming with God in His gentle and kind and pleasant and pure and soul-resting love. Or we will be vessels of the other stuff which is going to hell, God's dumping place for what is not His love. Therefore, Paul says to put away that stuff and become like Jesus and share as His family >

"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)

Do not choose to try to negotiate with and satisfy that nasty demanding emotional stuff, but choose God to put it away, and invest in becoming His way in gentle and kind love all-loving, pure, affectionate in family caring and sharing, how God changes our character so this is how we will be for eternity with Jesus and each other.

No, that sin has been paid for. So a person can not be punished for something that Jesus has already paid for.
Actually, Jesus said otherwise:

"Whoever does not believe in me is condemned already."
(Jn 3:18)

So who we gonna' believe? . .as for me and my house. . .

They are condemned to eternal separation from God, but that verse does not say they will be punished for their sins.

For not worshiping, loving, and not submitting to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

You think eternal separation from God is not punishment?

Talk about abandonment!. . .from all you were designed for!

Eternal separation from God is not a punishment for a persons sins. It is the only place/location a person who has not believed in Jesus may spend eternity. To spend eternity with God a person must have while living, believed in Jesus. So that person has received The Life of God, which is required to spend eternity with God.

Eternal punishment is about being born an object of God's wrath by your nature (Eph 2:3), subject to damnation apart from saving faith in Jesus Christ (Jn 3:18).

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
-----------------------------------
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
----------------------------------
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

The eternal separation from God isn’t punishment for their sins? I’m confused.

The eternal separation is for not believing in Jesus and receiving God's free gift of God's Life (eternal life).

Isn’t that a sin?
