Actually it does.
Drawings on a stretched rubber band will come closer together if you return the rubber band back to its original state.
In the above picture, picture the hand on the left representing dinosaurs, and the hand on the right representing humans.
The rubber band is stretched to a point, with 66 million years between them.
(66 million years is the time considered to be when the dinosaurs went extinct, and man first appeared on the earth.)
Now, simply release the tension on that rubber band, so that the distance between them represents 6000 years -- (not 66 million years) -- and notice how the dinosaurs and humans come much, much closer together.
Coexisting.
