At the campaign event at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, Walz said this:
www.whitehouse.gov
In Minnesota, we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make. Even if we wouldn’t make the same choice for ourselves, there’s a golden rule: Mind your own damn business.

Remarks by Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz at a Campaign Event in Philadelphia, PA | The White House
Temple UniversityPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania 5:58 P.M. EDT THE VICE PRESIDENT: We’re doing this! (Applause.) Oh! (Applause.) We’re doing this.
This statement would seem at odds with Walz's implementation of a COVID hotline, in which citizens were encouraged to "snitch" on their neighbors for not obeying COVID restrictions. In wake of the governor's stay-at-home order, which still allows people to leave their homes for fresh air and runs to stores for essential needs, a hotline has been established that allows anyone to report groups of people that aren't following social distancing measures.
The hotline number is 651-793-3746. People can also submit reports via email to sahviolations@state.mn.us.
One has to wonder if Walz is in favor of "minding your own ... business" or tattling on people who don't do what the government tells them to do.
