  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We are not supposed to dress up and party. We are not to have luxury. We are not to make a million dollars. We are not to rule America or fight with neighbors, democrats, republicans, family or unbelievers.

We are supposed to instead seek peace with all men and holiness. We are to mind our business at home and show our kids and each other how to act with our own actions. We lead by example and not just words.

Well actually believers (that is if you are a believer) are supposed to go out and make disciples of the nations (gentiles). This assignment was first given to Jesus' 11 Jewish disciples. But is now something all believers (Jewish or gentile believers) should do.

But first, before a person can become a disciple, the person must first become a believer, a born again child of God. And the only way an unbeliever can become a believer (born again child of God) is by belief in Jesus. Believing that Jesus is who He (Jesus) says He is. Which is the resurrection and the life, the promised Messiah/Son of God.

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

When a person believes this about Jesus, they become a born again child and has received God's free gift of Eternal Life. They at the very moment of belief in Jesus, cross over from death to life and become a permanent born again child of God.

Then other believer/disciples, can now make a disciple out of the new believer.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
