I think the Ismaels fight is that he is more dedicated to God than his half-brother that he would even kill himself. So he should be given the birthright and legacy. Not correct but crazy slave ideology. Not a trait suitable to take on the business of your father, Abraham, which is shepherding. Killing yourself is different from laying down your life. While Issac did that it was the father, Abraham, who was tested.

Sometimes I wish I could have stayed friends with my real life friend from years ago, but I suspect she was losing interest in the things I still enjoy. I wasn't exactly a good friend to her either, although I didn't realize it until it was too late. I have no idea where she is now.

I'm a kissless virgin at 40 like you. And I don't see anything wrong with it. In fact, I'm glad for it. The only person who gets my first kiss is the woman who will get pronounced as my wife on our wedding day.
