I'd say science is a piece of the evolutionary development of humanities consciousness. So not so much a gift as such, but a small part of the process built into life's creating process itself.

But to bring God into the picture as you are asking about, remember, I'm a Panenthest. I'm kind of different in that way. So I don't know how to separate anything from God. As such, where you see "gift" which is a duality kind of thinking, I see in science something that God "IS".

Science adopts a more testable definition of knowledge using its own tesable definitions. They are not in any way similar to your own, (or the Bible's), so your making assertions that you are right means you are not talking about science .. you are talking from belief.

I don’t believe the flood was worldwide. I do believe that Adam and Eve were the first humans. And I do believe in a literal 6 days. I also believe that the earth, sun, moon and stars existed long before the creation of the earth as we now know it.
As far supposing why you don’t believe any of it, I could suppose there just doesn't seem to be any evidence for a God. To say that things exist is proof of God is weak.
Science also proves that what Christianity has taught is false.
Then there is the idea that if God is love why is there so much evil iin the world.

Theres flooding somewhere every day.
No event remotely calling for an " ark" is on record.
You do know that?

There have been people for a million years or
more. A and E as "first"? Makes no sense.

The " no evidence" for the Christian god is
compounded by the disproof- in abundance- of
that god.

" God is love" is a rather weird equivocation
that makes no sense. Esp to we Chinese who
see " love " not in a western romantic way but more
like a verb that you do not speak, but put into
your actions, how you live.

From cover to cover in the bible (I've read it)
I saw nothing to believe other than some very
mundane / so -what accounts.

Here and there, theres a bit of folk wisdom
though nothing unique.

This is a lie. The most charitable explanation is that someone told you a lie and you sincerely believe it. Other options, I dare not to express. But down the line, someone lied.

Ahh... the first step in mind control... get the victim to follow a seemingly innocuous command. Once you can get them to do that, you simply guide them further and further down this path of seemingly harmless actions. Before they know it they can't back out without looking like a fool.

It's like believing in YEC, once you've gone a certain distance down the rabbit hole, admitting that you were wrong becomes virtually impossible.

Hence you get standards such as this:

Go to Google or YouTube and type in "I was scammed" and see how many did the "nearly impossible."

Nature is the executor of God's laws (Galileo), and we are unique in having the capacity to appreciate them.

We are the only means we know of by which the universe itself can ponder it's own existence.. I don't think that's coincidence, it's intentional, it's a gift.
