We did, earlier. Twice. Posts 918 and 926. They were taken from the app FlightRadar. The app that your web site said we should use. You can confirm it yourself. Get a globe and draw a line from Sydney to Santiago. It crosses nothing but ocean. It goes nowhere near the US. Trust me, I had a window seat. You can see the route I took (and the route you think I took) here: Sydney-Santiago Flight Route

While you are puzzling that out, take a look at the shape of Australia on the Flat earth map. It's about 5 times wider east to west than it is north to south. Gee, if only we had someone in the forum from down there who had driven north to south and east to west across the continent. Then we could ask to check to see if it was correct.

While you try to think of someone to ask, I'll just let you know that the flight time from Melbourne (in the south) to Darwin (in the north) is about 4h 20m - it's 3,700km. And from Melbourne (in the east) to Perth (in the west) is about 4h 15m - it's 3,400km.

Why don't these things ever occur to you..?

The map you are looking at is not a flat earth map; it is the azimuthal projection of the (alleged) globe. It does serve the purpose of at least conceptualizing flat earth geography in terms of southern ocean distances but is far from being the definitive flat earth map. Hence, the reason for our blog post, WORLD MAPS (PART I).

But further to that previous video, here is another video from someone who worked in the aviation industry. You need to watch the ENTIRE video, including the latter part dealing with southern flights picking up various jet streams at different altitudes. See 16 Emergency Landings - proving Flat Earth.

FlightRadar uses a Mercator projection, i.e., a projection of the alleged globe. Our purpose in referencing the app was to illustrate a worldwide flight pattern not unlike the subsea cable network that carries 99% of the world's communication traffic.

So you are arguing for a globe now?

Yes. And you have been told this on numerous ocassions. I have flown between Sydney and Santiago. I know how long the flight took - it was the same as advertised by the airline. And it flew over the ocean. I had a window seat. It didn't fly over the US or Mexico or anywhere else.

You say that to do that flight you have to overtly LA. I've also flown direct to LA. I've given you the times it took. Same as advertised by the airlines. How come your flight to Santaigo takes twice as long as the actual flight.

Why is Australia shown 5x wider than its height? I've given you the actual distances between cities. I've driven between them. The flat map is nonsensical. Have you got another?

It's one the Flat Earth society uses. It matches what you say happens when you fly from Sydney to Santiago (you fly via L.A?). It shows what you describe. Which is obviously nonsensical. If the world is flat, producing a 2 dimensional map will be the easiest thing to do.

I gave up on the first example he used. Why in 1988 a flight from Brazil to Australia went via L.A. (gee, you guys love that place) as opposed to flying directly. Firts, there were no direct flights between the two countries until 2020. And the cheapest way to fly between the two counties was via L.A. Using the same airline. Swapping airlines gets expensive. It still is the cheapest.

Do you recall the in-flight map showing your path along the west coast of the USA on the Sydney to LA leg?

They're the ones touting the flights. The in-flight maps are there to keep the passengers occupied. Take them with a grain of salt.

Development of such a map will not be an easy task but will require many specialists, including, but certainly not limited to, cartographers, geographers, geodesists, astronomers, and earth scientists. Additionally, input from aviators, sailors, and RF operators at all levels is critical. Finally, information technology specialists with the skills to process and re-organize public or commercially available databases and real time data inputs, are indispensible.

The heliocentric sophists have had five centuries and unlimited resources to perfect their sophistry. While a definitive flat earth map is not yet in the public domain, the azimuth equidistant projection sufficiently conveys the geographical issues associated with southern flights. Currently, those issues are dealt with by stopovers or jet stream acquisition, the latter being explained in that last video which you did not watch to the end.

Developing a flat earth map is utterly impossible as we live on a globe!! It is totally unscientific and unBiblical that we live on a flat earth!!
