Of course it's supposition. But we've fought wars before and won. My supposition is based on historical information. We know how to win. So does Israel. But there are a lot of squeamish folks who don't want to do what is necessary. They want to pretend that way can be neat and tidy and no one has to get their hands dirty. We'll all just play a nice easy comfortable war where we'll just criticize the good guys when they step out of line when trying to kill the bad guys.

Again...the barbed wire hasn't prevented them from acquiring military hardware....it's just all offensive instead of defensive.

A better question would be to ask whether the barbed wire, bombed out airport and etc added to reasons why they would want to take up arms

I have sympathy for such a hateful bigoted people. They were given an option to have a free and peaceful state many times....they've consistently rejected it.

Israel has an obligation to defend its people.

As do all nations. That does not mean targeting civilians.

They also have a democracy and politicians who sit and do nothing while their people are ruthlessly murdered don't get elected.

I do. Terrorism on any side is evil. So how do you stop that? I would imagine that addressing the problems rather than compounding them might be a strategy. The problem now is that people who had lands taken from them want to return and nations surrounding Israel are fed up with having to take multitudes of refugees. So what the bible says must happen, Israel will be surrounded by armies. They will need to turn to God to survive. They only get that message after more than 2/3 of them have already been killed in the future. So that is what we are heading for there. There is no other way than to believe for Israel. Only God can help them

There is and has been evil in both Israel and Palestine leadership that is causing innocence people to die. Israel leadership wants to completely remove the people of Gaza from their land. The Palestinians have the West Bank to live and that is enough. It's about land grabbing! God has not given Israel permission to go in and kill innocence people just has He did not give Hamas permission to kill innocence people. If the United States of America really wanted to show the world that we are a Christ like nation, then we would tell Israel that we are going in to get the people of Gaza out and dare Israel to do anything about it! Then we would not show impartially against the Palestinians but provide the same kind of support that we give to Israel!

Israel Hamas war: Civil order 'breaks down' in Gaza as strikes damage hospital and death toll rises​

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has announced that Israeli strikes on Sunday damaged sections in the packed Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City, after receiving two phone calls from the Israeli military to evacuate.

The PRCS-run hospital administration said that evacuating the hospital was impossible, as its hundreds of patients included children in incubators and wounded people in the intensive-care unit. In a statement, it said many of the 14,000 people seeking shelter there are Palestinians displaced by the ongoing Hamas-Israel war.

Israeli strikes targeted areas around the hospital throughout Sunday. The director-general of the World Health Organization has previously said that it would be “impossible” to evacuate hospitals without endangering people’s lives.

This is another problem - a phone call to evacuate a hospital is simply not a doable plan.

The bombing of the terrorist positions in northern Gaza is not going to stop, the terrorists are still firing off rockets at innocents in Israel and refuse to stop. They have been joined by other jihadists on other fronts, jihadists who have attacked Americans.

Fleeing convoys obeying warning have been attacked. Humanitarian aid was choked off for the convoys of trucks at the crossing in Egypt. Your rosy idea of all people knowing is not true apparently

What the people bombing apartment after apartment after apartment building say should not even be weighed in the equation as far as I am concerned. Was the US a monster when we shut down all the airports, etc. after 9/11 to keep the murderers from escaping the country?
If Israel leaves the borders open what would keep Hamas from taking the hostages out of Gaza and turning them over to Iran or someone else? What would happen to those hostages then?
Do you think that Israel should provide food, medicine, gasoline, etc. to Hamas or allow them to get it from someone else?

You can't separate the relatively few terrorists in Gaza from the population. So yes they need food and medicine and water and power!
