But they can not take the supplements and still be healthy.

Whereas, in a vegan diet, if they don't take B12, they get sick and cause
damage to their health.
Vegan Sources of Vitamin B12:

1. Nutritional Yeast
2. Marmite + Yeast Spreads
3. Fortified Soy + Almond Milk
4. Plant-Based Meats
5. Fortified Cereals
6. Tempeh
7. Chlorella
8. Nori Seaweed
9. Cremini Mushrooms

The most common fortified vitamin B12 vegan foods include breakfast cereals and non-dairy milk. These fortified foods usually happen to have other added nutrients like vitamins D, E, B6, and A on top of vitamin B12.

And saturated fat as found in meat.

Keto May Lead to High Cholesterol and an Increased Risk of Heart Disease

Instead of grabbing an article from the first website that agrees with your position, why not look for actual scientific research? From the National Library of Medicine:

In humans, KD have been associated with significant reductions in total cholesterol [75], increases in HDL cholesterol levels [33,70,75,80,81,82,83], decreases in triglycerides levels [32,33,70,75,82,83] and reductions in LDL cholesterol levels [75].

Keto diets REDUCE total cholesterol, increase GOOD HDL cholesterol, and lowers triglycerides and bad LDL. It also works better than other diets at reducing overall fat and improving heart health.

That's debunked "science."

The body can handle saturated fat. What the body can't handle is the trans-fats of heat-processed vegetable oils.

Inflammation is just as important as cholesterol.

Genesis 1:29 tells us God originally gave humans every seed bearing plant for food. Doesn’t this mean his original plan was for us to be vegan? I recently came to Christ. So far I’ve been convicted to give up cigarettes, weed, and sexual immorality. I’ve just finished reading the New Testament for the first time and the only confusing thing for me about Jesus is his endorsement of fish and other animals as food. Cats and dogs are tortured and eaten in China much like pigs, cows, and other animals are here in North America. Do you think God would support factory farming as it is done today when so many plant-based alternatives exist and have been proven nutritionally adequate, not to mention the detriment it is doing to our environment and human health?
Eating meat is biblically permitted, there is no doubt about that. But it is not a duty, who wants to live vegan, should do it. But he should not claim that it is a biblical commandment. That would otherwise be a clear distortion of Scripture.

Also, I advise you not to fall too much in love with animals. According to the Bible, animals are inferior creatures that have no hope of eternity. Of course, you should treat them respectfully, but the boundaries should not be crossed.

Genesis 9
God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them:
“Be fertile and multiply and fill the earth.
Dread fear of you shall come upon all the animals of the earth
and all the birds of the air,
upon all the creatures that move about on the ground
and all the fishes of the sea;
into your power they are delivered.
Every creature that is alive shall be yours to eat;
I give them all to you as I did the green plants.
Only flesh with its lifeblood still in it you shall not eat.

Every creature on earth? Rats, dogs, cats, worms, roaches?
Certainly not a command, but options.

God's original plan was disrupted by the humans consuming the knowing of good and evil.

Because of this, weeds started to grow, and meat eating became necessary.

God said he gave the meat to humans also.

Today, most people live in a nation that resembles the iron beast of scripture that devours the earth and tramples what's left under it's feet.

God does not approve of the beast, but the instructions to flee babylon and not be destroyed because of her sins ... where to flee to? There are now too many beasts, too many babylons that have become rome.

The bible talks about food in a general sense of how it affects the person eating it.

If it is sin for you, then don't eat it Paul writes.

Imposing a dietary regulation on all people, is not God's will. In fact, the bible says that forbidding people to eat certain foods is a doctrine of devils.

Veganism, may be the conviction of some people .. But God does not support fanaticism.

Eating meat that is high in fat and cholesterol puts a person at risk of cardiovascular disease.
Eli's son's got in big trouble because they did not burn the fat to God. This is a big problem today causing stroke and heart disease. I prefer not eating meat because I do not like to kill animals. But I think if you do eat an animal you do them a favor because they become a part of you and they are moving up the food chain. But we do not have enzymes to digest meat. We need bacteria to break it down to where the enzymes we have can digest the meat.

I'm curious as to where you got the info that humans don't have the enzymes to break down meat?

Here is a source that says we do:

We've all sinned and fall short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23) aside from Christ; who was perfect. Our sins of course aren't good, but we shouldn't be so concerned for the shortcomings of others, but instead with our own shortcomings (Matthew 7:1-6).

Ultimately our relationships with one another are salvific in, and of themselves. So instead of judging our brother, or sister for their shortcomings we're to become a vessel of grace through prayer, and living a sacramental life, and to help them through loving kindness. Christ Himself tells us this in (Matthew 22:39).
Judging and being concerned about another's shortcomings is two different things. Just saying.....

God created us in his image with 4 canine teeth like other carnivores. Enough of this nonsense that we are not supposed to eat meat. Veganism or vegetarianism may hold health benefits but I think its a real stretch to say God doesn't want us to eat meat.
We were created in His image and likeness and at that point told that herbs, seeds and their fruits were our food. Vegies were mentioned after the fall. Meat was not even brought up until after Noah.

Our DNA does not make the bacteria in our digestive system. We get it from our mother through the birth canal when we are born.

Enzymes and bacteria both play important roles in the digestion of food.

Enzymes are produced by the body and break down large molecules of food into smaller ones that can be absorbed and utilized by the body. Different enzymes are specialized for different types of macromolecules. For example:

  • Amylase: breaks down complex carbohydrates (starches) into simpler sugars such as glucose
  • Proteases: break down proteins into amino acids
  • Lipases: break down fats into fatty acids and glycerol
Bacteria, on the other hand, are microorganisms that are naturally present in the digestive system and play a key role in the breakdown of certain foods, particularly fiber. Bacteria break down fiber through a process of fermentation, which produces short-chain fatty acids that are used by the body for energy. Some types of bacteria in the gut can also help to produce certain vitamins and other nutrients.

It's important to note that the breakdown of food is a complex process that involves a combination of enzymes, bacteria, and other factors, and the specific breakdown of any given food can vary depending on a variety of factors, including the individual's gut microbiome and other dietary and lifestyle factors.

Okay. You're said in the post I replied to that we don't have those enzymes, correct?

So far, unless it is a PETA site everything I have read said that we do.

May I have the link to what you posted above?

FYI, Eastern Orthodox are vegan (no animal products including dairy) during Great Lent. This Sunday will be the last time we are supposed to have meat and next Sunday the last day to have dairy. Orthodox Pascha is April 9 this year so we are vegan for 6 weeks. Lamb is amazing after 7 weeks of no meat.

We are no longer in the origianl state. The Scriptures do not say if Adam ate meat. In the absence of that we can not assume that he did or did not eat meat. We need to set aside our presumptions when studying the Bible.

In Genesis 9 Noah receives a covenant from the Lord. Part of the covenant removed the prior restrictions against eating meat, allowing Noah and his family to kill animals for food. However, the allowance came with this proviso: “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it” (verse 4).

One reason God prohibited the consumption of animal blood in the Old Testament was to teach respect for the sacredness of life. Blood is viewed as a symbol of life throughout the Bible (see Leviticus 17:11). The Bible’s first mention of the word blood is found in Genesis 4:10 where God asks the murderer Cain, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.” The shedding of blood represents the loss of life. In the New Testament, the “blood of Christ” is a common figure of speech for the “death of Christ” (Ephesians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:19).

Under the Law of Moses, certain foods were considered unclean for consumption, including any meat with the blood still in it (Deuteronomy 12:16). The early church urged Gentile believers to abstain from eating bloody meat in order to not offend their Jewish brothers and to distance themselves from the practices of the pagans (Acts 15:20).

Another reason for God’s command not to eat bloody meat undoubtedly concerned the sacrifices. Blood was the only atonement for sin (2 Chronicles 29:24; Hebrews 9:22); therefore, blood was seen as a sacred thing. God wanted to ensure that the blood of the sacrifices was always considered precious. To preserve the people’s appreciation of the sacrifices, God could not allow blood to become a common food.

The humane treatment of animals may have been another reason why God told Noah not to eat meat with the blood still in it. God did not want mankind to act like the carnivorous animals, who caught their prey and began eating it immediately. Instead, they were to drain the blood from the carcass and thus ensure the animal was dead before it was consumed.

Further, some have suggested God may have given this command for health reasons. Blood present in meat means it is not fully cooked, and eating uncooked meat can lead to disease or sickness. We recognize this danger today, as attested by the USDA-mandated warnings found in modern-day menus: “Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.” In ancient cultures, the risk could have been even higher, given the lower standards for food safety.

In Christ, these food laws are obsolete, and the New Testament gives no blanket instruction for the church concerning food (Romans 14:14; 1 Timothy 4:3). Romans 14:1–4 teaches, “Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?” Scripture allows the Christian to have individual freedom regarding the consumption of meat and how it’s cooked.

In summary, God forbade eating bloody meat in the Noahic Covenant and in the Law of Moses. Both spiritual and physical reasons were likely behind this prohibition. In Christ, we have freedom of choice in this matter. However, as with all Christian freedom, we are to use self-restraint to avoid hurting another believer (Romans 14:13–22). Ultimately, eating anything should be done to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31)."
