Keeping in mind that Jesus was born, lived, preached and died under the old covenant.
His answers to the Jews were in keeping with the old covenant of law righteousness, that they might realize their inability to be righteous by the law..
Not according to Jesus in Jn 3:18 and to NT apostolic teaching in Eph 2:8-9.
He changed the Passover meal from red meat to red wine (Cain's offering) He had to spend the same amount of time in hell that Jonah did when he changed the mission God sent him on. Moses-John did not place any other flesh under their care. Christ was High Priest to all flesh from Adam to Moses. Jesus did not kill a lamb as He would have been killing a member of His flock:
Da:2:37-38:
Thou,
O king,
art a king of kings:
for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom,
power,
and strength, and glory.
And wheresoever the children of men dwell,
the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand,
and hath made thee ruler over them all.
Thou art this head of gold.
Ho:4:3:
Therefore shall the land mourn,
and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish,
with the beasts of the field,
and with the fowls of heaven;
yea,
the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
Joh:3:18:
He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh:20:26-29:
And after eight days again his disciples were within,
and Thomas with them:
then came Jesus,
the doors being shut,
and stood in the midst,
and said,
Peace be unto you.
Then saith he to Thomas,
Reach hither thy finger,
and behold my hands;
and reach hither thy hand,
and thrust it into my side:
and be not faithless,
but believing.
And Thomas answered and said unto him,
My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith unto him,
Thomas,
because thou hast seen me,
thou hast believed:
blessed are they that have not seen,
Are Gentiles who believe the 4 Gospels stories going to be resurrected for the 1,000-year reign or not?
Eph:2:8-9:
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:
Not of works,
lest any man should boast.
M't:25:40-46:
And the King shall answer and say unto them,
Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand,
Depart from me,
ye cursed,
into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungred,
and ye gave me no meat:
I was thirsty,
and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger,
and ye took me not in:
naked,
and ye clothed me not:
sick,
and in prison,
and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him,
saying,
Lord,
when saw we thee an hungred,
or athirst,
or a stranger,
or naked,
or sick,
or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them,
saying,
Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these,
ye did it not to me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment:
but the righteous into life eternal.
Christians are supposed to feed believers and unbelievers:
M't:5:43-48:
Ye have heard that it hath been said,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour,
and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you,
Love your enemies,
bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you,
and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:
for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you,
what reward have ye?
do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only,
what do ye more than others?
do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
