Of course, not everyone does it violently -- some people withdraw into depression, some go on a bender, but others... go postal.

I can take my cell phone into a lobby and, despite Poster 7, clear everyone behind the counter into the back room by just exercising my First Amendment right to record from publicly-accessible spaces.

Just because a space is publicly accessible doesn't mean it's public property. It can be private property, even if it is open to the public. Shopping centers are an example of this. And if it's private property, they are well within their right to say, "No video recording."

The First Amendment protects the right to gather information about what public officials do on public property, and specifically, a right to record matters of public interest. SOURCE​

It's an important distinction that publicly accessible property is NOT the same thing as public property.
