I think I have a crush on my bed...I don't think I can bear to stay away from it any longer!!

As for me, my day is just beginning. Going to amuse myself in the wee hours of the morning before work by continuing on my way through the hardest difficulty mode of The Evil Within, a classic survival horror game I have been fond of ever since 2013/14 when it came out, apparently as Tango Gameworks premier masterpiece. Also how I got my Steam title of "Master of Horror" some years ago, if you remember my mentioning the other day, @Somber. ... And now, since that time, they came out with an even harder difficulty mode, Akumu, where one hit from anything, anything and it's game over. I'm shouldering my way through, though; I am a determined knight who's willing to brave any new challenge, after all. Just started chapter 14 of 15. Not too long to go, but still many gaming hours away, as often as I will have to restart at every checkpoint.

Interesting how much information you can find on someone through social media. The guy I said I was intrigued with is 32, separated meaning he's still married, and it says he got into a relationship September of 2020. He seems like a good-hearted person of good character from what I've seen of him, but everything in me tells me to stay clear of him. Especially it's black and white that he is still a married man. I think there might be a kid and the kid is wearing a t-shirt that I have also that is of a Christian organization's charity work.
I also saw that he has a military background like myself and there may be some other common interest. I'm curious if our mutual buddy told him about me which peaked his interest. I could just be imagining this. I know tonight when I was telling him about the truck in front of others he gulped like he was nervous. Anyways, good thing I checked so I know to move on. Also hopefully I won't get called for plowing again for the winter season and that would resolve some of it.

Winter snow plowing and lack of sleep always seems to skew my intrigue and my thoughts and choices in men. One thing I've learned about myself is that I make poor choices when I have very little sleep about guys.

Watching the well-deserved credits right now, complete with a violin concerto rendition of Clair de Lune. This game is how I first came to know of such a classic song, after all.

I love our protagonist Detective Castellanos' final words to a fellow cop when the calvary came (late to the party as always) bursting into the hospital and asked him if he was okay, seeing him stumbling towards the front door, just before the credits roll:
"Just ... get me to some real fresh air ..."

Somehow this was a great one-liner to end on. And highly understandable from my point of view as the player who just persevered through 20 hours of this insane difficulty mode.

For relevancy to this thread, between The Evil Within and its 2017 sequel where I have taken an sympathetic liking to our hero Sebastian Castellanos, you might say I have gained a bit of a man-crush on him ...... but to tell the truth I think I like our plucky deuteragonist of the two games Detective Juli Kidman instead.

At first they seem harmless, but then you slowly begin to lose all sense and reason, until you are utterly and hopelessly delusional...needing more and more. Might even require therapy afterwards to fully recover. Very dangerous to tamper with, especially the cutest ones. I give it a 3/10...would not recommend.
