No he had a bad bout with kidney stones. My stepdad has esophageal cancer and is going through chemo right now to slow it down.

So, your husband will be fine? That's good.

I do find these health incidents does help to appreciate others more. I've made an effort to be much closer to my father and not take him for granted. He came really close to death; the doctors were amazed the lived. I don't know how long I'll have him for, but the time I spend with him are much more precious now.

He's still alive. He had like less than 1% chance of living... most of the doctors said it's a miracle he's still alive. He has a rare blood disease and was in a coma for about a month.

He's doing ok now.. he isn't what he once was.. but he's like 80% back.

So glad to hear that. It can be exhausting for all. But any time you have is worth it if they are up for it.

It was a good meeting, I think. They have a fairly new migrant community here and are looking for space where they can offer social support in various ways for a few hours a week. Our church hall is available and we're happy to let them use it. It's just a matter of ironing out a few details, but I think that will be a good thing!

It is feeling better now. Think sleeping on it and it being the morning just caused some stiffness.
