Where does the government get any of its money, being an institution that doesn't produce a saleable product? It comes from the private sector via taxes. NASA is a black hole where funding disappears and gets routed to wherever those in power want to send it. And anytime a government program is set up, outside money from questionable sources can be channeled through it without getting obvious attention. Granted, there have been technological advances that have come out of this program. For just one paltry example, wasn't Teflon a resulting invention of space research?

He was part of a team of engineers. He didn't work alone. Yes he was an engineer that worked on the Saturn rockets during the design phase. Yes he was a rocket engineer. Yes he helped design the Saturn rockets

I've trawled through all the documents I can find on the development of the F1 engine. There are a lot of names that come up but Bill Kaysing isn't one of them. He started out as a technical writer and went on to become a Service Engineer, which is a fancy name for someone who maintains the equipment. He was not ever part of the team who designed the F1. If he claims that he was then he is lying.

There is not one single video/recording of a rocket going up and into outer space showing the earth (going farther and farther away) as the rocket leaves earths environment.

I've seen enough evidence by now to say with confidence no man can go above low earth orbit and survive. Russia learned this when all the animals they sent into space, died. I've seen Apollo photos with wires, overhead lights, framing of a building, shots cropped into photos, an astronaut with his glove off and bare hand exposed, foreground/background cut lines, repeated use of backdrops at supposedly different locations, reflections of stagehands in astronaut helmets, shadows at almost 90' angles a few feet apart (proof of stage lighting), and more. Thousands of photos were taken and it takes a long time to search them all. Sometimes, someone finds something NASA forgot to edit out.Take your pick. But I firmly believe #2 is not true.

Russian cosmonaut Valeri Polyakov spent 437 days on the Mir space station from 1994 and 1995 still holds the record for the longest time a person has stayed in space. You can call him and ask. He speaks some English.

In the long run, why people have the mindset to believe men didn't walk on the moon is of greater significance than the conspiracy theory itself, and other fringe concepts. (This idea can be linked to flat earth beliefs, so hard to avoid eventually in longer discussions.)

But seriously, there are so many mistakes that were made on the production side of the fake moon landings that NASA cannot make go away.

From the videos of them hammering and making noise, in space, to the Van Allen belts, to the fact that only one test was done on space suits, in a real vacuum, and the guy almost died. To the multiple shots, on the moon, on different days, at supposedly different locations, while the background is the exact same. To the video of the men supposedly walking around on the moon but being suspended and hindered by the strings that they are hanging on.

Then there is the pictures with different light sources. The video of them faking the picture of the earth from inside the space craft while in low earth orbit....

I think we probably did, but I also would not put it past say technical difficulties or something else making either the landing or the setting foot on the moon impossible for some reason either. Things happen that people are not prepared for. If not the Challenger would not have blown up killing all those aboard in 1986.
If they landed but for some reason could not actually go outside, if that happened I think for sure they would have faked that part. I really can't see them sending back a message for the world to hear saying we have this issue and need to abort the exciting part that an entire world is wanting to hear and see. I think if something prevented either the walking or the landing they would have totally fudged it and only the highest people would have known about it. Way too much egg on the face to simply say we will try again later (Soviets would have have won )or say we discovered X makes actually walking on the moon impossible.

So yes I believe the space program is legit, but do I think they are above fudging something to keep the US as the 'winners' in the space race, no.

Something to consider is that the rockets were definitely real. Those Saturn V rockets were huge and expensive. Then on top of that, you'd have all the expense of covering things up, including getting the Soviets to keep quiet as they closely monitor the launches.

Different rocket fuel (hydrazine and unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine, with dinitrogen tetroxide as the oxidiser), lack of atmosphere, only had to lift the ascent module of the lander and only carrying enough fuel to get into lunar orbit. A little under 5 tonnes. The reaction produces nitrogen gas, water vapour and carbon dioxide plus a lot of heat. Like a hydrogen fire the 'flame' is invisible and in the vacuum of space there is no condensation of water vapour into clouds of water droplets. The "little puff" you see is from visible debris being blasted by the thrust of the rocket. Once it moves away from the descent stage the thrust is invisible.
The Saturn V system had to launch a little over 2,942 tonnes into earth orbit using refined kerosine and liquid oxygen as fuel. If you are unable to comprehend the massive differences between these two cases then I have a bridge here in Sydney you might be interested in buying.

Nasa had the larger budget. They had hundreds of thousands of people, all civilians working on the moon projects. At its peak, the Apollo program employed 400,000 Americans and required the support of over 20,000 industrial firms and universities.

So yes, 10 people might be able to create fake photos' or movies on their computers.
But 400,000 will not be able to keep a secret.
NASA is a fully civilian agency. Today, NASA employs nearly 17,000 people with diverse backgrounds.
