You would need to ask them. Whites and other races live there too but are the minority.
That has nothing to do with modern times. They can move wherever they like. Are you saying black people don't or can't live in nice places? Thats not true. You dont see a black doctor living in the hood. Lack of education or making bad choices is why people live thereIt's almost as if they were systematically barred from living in nicer areas not very long ago.
I think it’s more of a street culture that a large percentage of black youth’s seem to get involved in where doing good in school will get you accused of “acting white” (Obama even spoke of this during his speech to the DNC) Or the “no snitchin”/“snitches in stitches” where people who see crime committed are warned against telling the Police about it. When one does get money, rather than investing it in something allowing growth, it is often used to flex and floss with the newest shiny thing like fancy cars, fancy clothes, and walking around with bundles of money (getting eaten up by inflation) like rappers, rather than investing in stores, or some type of business adventure. A survey was done that showed that blacks families on average have 1/10th the wealth of white families, yet they wear more expensive clothes, more accessories on their cars, spend more on their hair and jewelry than white people. Blacks from the Diaspora don't seem to have this problem. This is a cultural problem, not a systemic racist problem.

Just curious - if that isn't systemic racism, what is it?Black folks get a longer sentence but thats because of a judge not because the system itself is racist. The system may allow the judge to hand out different sentences but that has nothing to do with racism. The law is not set up that way to oppress anyone. Should the problem be fixed? Perhaps but its not the system that is racist.
So whites are victims of systemic racism too? Is that what the stats show?Just curious - if that isn't systemic racism, what is it?
What system are you talking about and who set it up?Sounds systemic but they set up the system.
Its nice living where it isnt raceracerace all the time!
I don't recall doing that.Well, now, when I spoke of that culture before--and also pointed out that black voluntarily immigrant groups don't have that problem-- you argued against it.
Keep ignoring the fact that disproportionate crime means disproportionate time.
Well it's hard to anticipate where/when someone will be killed. I think most of the time they have to be called to a murder scene. You can mock me if you like but I've seen bodies and the cops show up after because they are not there.
Its nice living where it isnt raceracerace all the time!
Let me get this straight....Are you saying that because more black people per capita are convicted of a crime, all black people should get more time? Shouldn't each case stand on its own merits? The demographics on gang activity is disproportionate too. They do more crime and do more time
19 percent? That could be explained in any number of possible situations besides systemic racism.
They also have more systemic, i mean disproportionate gang activity.
Your innuendo is offensive and logically counter productive. The irony is the answer is yes. I was talking about violent criminals. Anything wrong with crossing the street to avoid violent criminals?Disproportionate crime. Those people sound pretty scary. Probably best to walk on the other side of the street when you see one coming. They are most likely a gang member intent on doing crime to you.
Yes. Whites are victims of the same systemic racism.Let me get this straight....Are you saying that because more black people per capita are convicted of a crime, all black people should get more time? Shouldn't each case stand on its own merits?
Gang activity accounts for a huge chunk of crime I bet.Not really. The studies are usually longitudinal studies that attempt to account for as many other variables as possible.
Gang activity can only account for a portion of this disparity. Unless you think most black people are gang members. Do you?
Really? How so? They are given more time for the same crimes? No wait, that's black folks. How are whites victims of systemic racism?Yes. Whites are victims of the same systemic racism.
Compared with Asians whites are victims of systemic racism.Really? How so? They are given more time for the same crimes? No wait, that's black folks. How are whites victims of systemic racism?
(this should be good)
