Second response... I think you missed @jayem 's point...

He seems to essentially be asking about the distinction between 'moral evil' and 'natural evil'. If a God is claimed to be 'good', why impose "natural evil" on individuals prior to the age of their accountability?

God created life.
I'm alive and loving it.
Therefore God is good. :)

what if you hated life?

therefore would God be evil?

If you hated life you would probable have already ended it. However even the Devil understands that "no man hath hated his own life."

Job 2:4
“Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life."

No because that's no solution

I would meditate, I would study

Of course. Most hang on to life with bloody fingers regardless of how terrible it is.

Ephesians 5:29
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

they do not seek a solution for some reason

some do seek a solution

Some are unaware that they have a problem. Some are unaware that a solution exists. Others are milking their problems for all they're worth.

We each have a lifetime to figure it out.

Many can't meditate their way out of the misery of a terminal or debilitating disease, and so exercise the ultimate freedom of choice.

life is suffering…

we don't have freedom of choice

we have karmic consequence

The ones that are related to the problems.

Looking at the world I'd say most of them would be helpful.

You stated if we thought logically, we would obey the Commandments. Your response then makes no sense.

If we are not completely logical, how would be know WHICH Commandments would be helpful?

If we are not logical, how are we to know which of the 613 Commandments are still relevant, and which ones are not?

We have choice but we are also affected by "time and chance". But choice is the overwhelming influence.

Parents are accountable for their children's safety.

Parents often times cannot control a "natural evil". Please try again.

Why impose "natural evil" on individuals prior to the age of their accountability?

Not so hard if you know the reasons for those laws.
