Is it possible, to be Jesus Christ?

what are your thoughts ?

some says yes. Others say no.

why? How? When does it start?

please help me be perfect...

To the degree you embrace your death in Christ, to that degree will you walk in newness of life...

Be blessed as you learn and discover what your salvation in Christ consists of...

A fellow servant of His, Not me

If perfection was possible by us, then why did Christ have to come and die for our sins? We are covered by Christs Righteousness not imbued with it.

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.
Philippians 3: 12-15

Here's a helpful link. Hope it helps you out;

What is the meaning of perfection in the Bible? | GotQuestions.org

We wont reach total perfection while in our corrupted bodies. We will need new uncorrupted bodies to reach perfection. And by reaching perfection I mean being like Jesus Christ.

In terms of being Jesus Christ. I dont think we will ever be Jesus Christ. We are His children (example: Children of God). The bible does not say we are God, but rather that we are God's children if we truly believe in Jesus Christ.

But like Paul states we are to fight while in this body. There is no excuse to live a lifestyle of sin. We have been given the Spirit of God that will enable us to fight off our carnal/wordly/sinful desires, as long as we walk in the Spirit and not the flesh.

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
Galatians 5:17

The one we let dominate will determine our success in pleasing God. Nonetheless it is our choice...Question one may have...How can I live by the spirit so that I can put to death the deeds of the flesh so that i can win this battle on earth so that I can be more like Jesus???

Answer: Turn away from wordly things and things that will quench the Spirit of God. Soak yourself in the bible on a daily basis, pray daily. Feed the spirit inside of you instead of the flesh. Fight to prevent wordly/sinful seeds to be planted in your heart. Fight to have the word of God planted in your heart and keep it secure.

Overall....Can the moon ever be the Sun? Nah....Can man ever be Jesus Christ? Nah...But can man be the children of God?...Of course, yes.

Just in case anyone misunderstands me....The part where i say "feed the spirit instead of you instead of the flesh." That means to allow your spirit (that has been made alive by God's spirit after you believed in Jesus Christ) to feed on the bible and prayer. Those things are food to the spirit. And to not feed the flesh means not to do sinful stuff...You know like drugs, alcohol, lying, disobedience to God, etc....

But please remember to eat people. We need our daily calorie intake. Lol

If it were possible to be Christ, someone else would be able to do his job on earth too.
Maximum christians can achieve is two persons to sit left and right of Christ being saints.
People can be perfect but it is very hard. Jesus alone himself said: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

short answer, no, there is only one God in only 3 persons. If you are asking if it is possible for any of us to be sinless the answer is still no. you could argue that Mary was sinless but then she was born without the stain of sin, we were not.

Thank you all for the encouraging, and supportive messages.

You have been a big help!

Reading them all it seems that we cannot be perfect, though if we live by the spirit, and feed or eat people I mean feed the spirit by the word of God, and prayer, the more the world decreases with its whimsical ways to lure us and entice us to be more attuned towards the flesh instead.

Have a wonderful day.

"Perfect" is a bit of a misunderstanding, instead it is a matter of being "complete." It is not possible to escape sin entirely, at least not until the day you're given your resurrection body. Yet it is possible to do as Christ commanded, it's a matter of having what you profess to believe match with what you do. Just let your yes be yes and your no be no.

I am afraid most people do not believe in the doctrine of entire sanctification, because they were never blessed with it, not because it is not the truth.

Today it is rare. In the past it was not. Read some testimonies from the Holiness Movement.

I would encourage you to check out this thread here:

What does Scripture Mean About Perfection?

It's a lot of Scripture that is just going to give you the facts of what it says, and not the opinions of men.

I believe you can live a nearly perfect life by the spirit, but it seems like if you strive to live an almost perfect life during your life would it not be miserable through out it somewhat?

At least that what it seems like. Anyone else have any takes on this? Sinless perfection?

Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 100% of the time (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness. (1 John 1:8-10)

You cannot strive to be perfect. It is a state that you enter into once you decide that you are crucified to sin and the world. You receive a new nature, one that would rather die than disobey God and disrespect Him.

As it is a new nature it all comes naturally and you are delivered as was Paul after his struggle as a believer in Romans 7 but unable to do what he should and do what he shouldn't. Is that where you are stuck? Then there is an answer.

I’m of the mind that we can achieve the same sense of perfection that Paul had when he wrote ‘I know nothing against myself, ..... but that doesn’t justify me etc...’

There will always be a deeper degree of self to die to, but we can walk in all the light we see today.. With a hope and a prayer for the increase that is the promise of tomorrow..

Be blessed as we grow and learn of Christ...

A fellow believer, Not me
