The majority of the affidavits seem to have been hearsay in context. This keeps down the possibility of being charged with lying because it's almost impossible to prove that the person "didn't hear" someone else saying something.
Judges do recognize hearsay when they hear it or read it. And so do the opposing attorneys. It may keep down the possibility of being accused of perjury...but it's also going to be discounted rather quickly.
This has been just political theater by the Trump camp using the courts as their stage. I don't believe for a moment that Trump's lawyers truly believed they had serious cases. The courts have shown great leniency in not dismissing them with prejudice.
