Was Jesus Just a Man Or was He GOD?
anyone?
Therefore, when Christ came into the world,
he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a
body you prepared for me;
The Jesus who was, His spirit, was in the tent of that body.
"Father into your hands I commit My spirit"
And the Father was living in Him doing His work. They are one.
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.
Hebrews 1 - about the Son Who was and is.
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Clearly Jesus is all that the Father is. Mighty God
He was a being and a person in the beginning with the Father.
Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness
John referred to Jesus as the word of Life.
That which
was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning
the Word of life. 2
The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life,
which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.
It is in Jesus that we live and are held together.
He is before all things, and in him
all things hold together.
...one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and
through whom we live.
So I think He wasn't just a man or even any angel. The Father calls Him God.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy."
