Joe Biden has a son?

News to me...;)

Next thing you know he'll be accused of smoking crack while engaging in sex with prostitutes or something like that...

Unless there's videos of him doing so.
Hunter admitted July 1, 2019, That he battled with drug addition. And his issues with women. Being honest about his problems. That didn't seem to hurt his father, while he had his job in Ukraine. I'm not seeing a huge problem.
Hunter Biden said:
I was in that darkness. I was in that tunnel—it’s a never-ending tunnel. You don’t get rid of it. You figure out how to deal with it.”

I think there is something there. It's funny that there is always talk of "Follow the money" when Republicans are in power, but not with Democratic politicians and liberal causes....

You should certainly follow the money always. Except here as with most Republican smear campaigns, people end up losing sight of what the actual point is. Let's imagine for the sake of argument that Hunter Biden has been off getting jobs on the board of foreign companies, getting paid millions of dollars and cavorting with prostitutes while high on drugs, and doing all this because of his family name and that his daddy might be the next president.

1) So what? If he's broken any laws anywhere, then he can be prosecuted for any crimes by the relevant authorities.
2) Hunter Biden isn't running for office. He could be telling the Chinese, the Russians and the North Koreans that he'll promise them face time with daddy if they pay him enough, but unless there's some proof of any kind that Joe Biden actually agreed to any of this then its just his adult son shooting his mouth off.

Even more importantly though, why is it that these Republican stories always seem to require some giant leap of faith on the part of the reader? We don't just have reporters with sources that they've fact checked, no we have to have mysterious laptops, no-one even sure whether the FBI stuff actually happened or not, a blind shopkeeper and the rest of the stuff that sounds like it was written for a low budget made for TV cop movie.

The following is how I might reach my conclusions.
There are a number of problems with this scenario.

First, Hunter Biden lives in LA, not Delaware. So why would he fly across the country to go to a cheap computer repairman?

Second, the damage was reported by the shop as water damage. There is no need to view the contents of a hard drive to repair water damage, at least not in a job that runs $85. It sounds as though he just hooked the laptop up to an external drive and copied the files over. While he certainly could view the files in that process, it's not required and would indeed be unethical. Furthermore, if it was just photos and videos, that would be one thing. It's far more believable to say that you accidentally saw some media files because they were stored in an innocuously-named folder. But emails require real intent to go through. The files are not named in any particular way, so the only way to find specific emails, years old, would be to deliberately search through the email application.

Third, not picking up a repair because it might be an FBI sting is a really dumb line of logic. Hunter Biden may be a lot of things, but he's not an idiot. If it was really an FBI sting, they know who he is, and he's not exactly someone who can just disappear.

Now the FBI have not made any statements on this.
My guess on this is the FBI is still smarting from all the criticism they received about opening an 'investigation' on HRC just before the election....and they don't want to walk over those coals again.

They're also apparently busy investigating how Giuliani passed along what looks to be Russian propaganda.

The email includes a note that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.” A proposed equity split references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” with no further details. Fox News spoke to one of the people who was copied on the email, who confirmed its authenticity.

Oh well, that really clears it up. lol, man, I really feel bad for the GOP. Once upon a time they could actually manage to come up with something damaging about a Democratic candidate. I guess this decline is part of Donald's legacy.

Yes, it is not like the guy pitching the story palls around with known Russian operatives. Oh wait, he does. In fact our treasury department just placed sanctions on one of them for trying to gin up a Ukrainian scandal about Hunter Biden. Will wonders never cease?

I would have thought the JBS would be more your kind of thing.

Anyway, no one is saying there's a Russian under every bed, just the ones the Russian agents said they would hide under.

And yet the person in the email chain wasn't identified.

Not the most convincing.

Alos, you seem really concerned about nepotism. Good for you!

Except this is a thread about Hunter not Ivanka....I know, I know, you hate that but still....try sticking to the OP?

And yet how many 'unidentified' sources provided by the LSM has those on the left just blithely accepted as fact?

We can stick to the topic, but to be fair the person most upset that this isn't about Ivanka is Ivanka. (or maybe Donald)

Fair enough. I would LOVE to hear your take on those emails though. I have a thread on this very topic. Strangely, not many Trump supporters have much to say on the topic and I can't figure out why since nepotism is, apparently, a HUUUUUUUGE issue.

And yet how many 'unidentified' sources provided by the LSM has those on the left just blithely accepted as fact?
Sure. It's common across the political spectrum, no doubt. If the name is in the email chain, why not SAY the name?
I mean heck, there are IDENTIFIED whistleblowers on Trump and the right ignores so what is the benefit of naming them?

Welll, so much for that theory.....
Further, Fox News has learned that the FBI and Justice Department officials concur with an assessment from Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe that the laptop is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign targeting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Ratcliffe, on Monday, said that Hunter Biden’s laptop and the emails on it “is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign," despite claims from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

“Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that," Ratcliffe said. "And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress.”

Ratcliffe went on to say that it is “simply not true.”
