1. Not every christian interprets the bible in a fashion that requires the version of near-east history that yours does. Some accept the inputs of scholarly investigation of the artifacts of past civilizations.

2. The C/E sub-forum is definitely a place where that conflict is heightened and *permitted* within certain limitations. Most of us try to stay within those bounds and accept correction when they are breached.

It did not come from a Chinese lab. Do you have any source that is not a wacko conspiracy source that says that the Chinese made it in a lab?

It existed in animals first and a variation was able to cross over to humans. That is what the evidence tells us. You should have read the article. No need for a lab. This happens quite often. Some viruses do this regularly. The flu for example, it goes through different animal species and comes back every year changed a bit as a result. That is why we keep getting the flu.
