  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Will you expound on this mystery being unraveled by the Last Saints, in the eyes of the watching world? Thank you.

Jesus tells his saints what to expound in the gospel. He not only tells them what to say he tells them what will happen to them for doing his business. He goes into detail about thier tribulation.
Would you like to read what Jesus tells the tribulation saints?

"The heritage that God has promised to His people is not in this world. Abraham had no possession in the earth, 'no, not so much as to set his foot on.' Acts 7:5. . . . The gift to Abraham and his seed included not merely the land of Canaan, but the whole earth. So says the apostle, 'The promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.' Romans 4:13. And the Bible plainly teaches that the promises made to Abraham are to be fulfilled through Christ. All that are Christ's are 'Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise'—heirs to 'an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away'—the earth freed from the curse of sin. Galatians 3:29; 1 Peter 1:4. For 'the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High;' and 'the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.' Daniel 7:27; Psalm 37:11

This is bible truth. This is the everlasting covenant. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob never recieved the promise, so one would think it would be fulfilled in the earth made anew.

Hebrews 11:9-10,13-16
[9]By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
[10]For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
[13]These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
[14]For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
[15]And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
[16]But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

The book and chapter is Mathew 10.
Now to understand the setting you should know that it is illegal to preach the gospel in Israel. And as you know the tribulation saints are preaching as the kingdom of heaven nears.
So Jesus tells his saints to go preach the gospel in Israel where its illegal. He tells them to proclaim the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He tells them how they will be arrested and brought before governors because of thier testimony of him. He tells them thier own family members will cause many of them to be put to death. And he tells them it would be better for Sodom and gamorah than for those Israeli cities that will not except them. He tells them they will not have gone over all the cities in Israel till he comes.

Matthew 10:23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

PS, he tells them not to carry money. Jesus forseeing the mark of the beast knew they wouldn't be able to purchase anything.

So, should we fly to Israel?

I've thought about it. But you won't suffer tribulation. If your not Israeli they will just kick you out and not let you back in. :)

We don't suffer the same fate. I feel for those Israelis who will suffer though. Can you imagine being saved by Jesus and wanting your family to be saved while knowing they are about to burn if they don't repent?
And having your own children cause you to be put to death? My goodness, that it terrible.

I really can't imagine the pressure they will be under. Especially knowing thier family members are about to be burned alive.
It's terrible to think of that.

Who was James talking to below?

Jas 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Jas 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

So, you believe they are different?

The first group is said to be of the twelve tribes of Israel. The second group is of th e nations. No they are not the same.
Like I said though, if you attempt to do what Jesus said in the gospel, the Israeli government would just remove you from thier country. You wouldn't be the first.
Keep in mind Jesus is speaking to Israeli citizens telling them what will happen to them at the hands of thier own people and thier own family members.

Heb 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.
Heb 8:8 Because finding fault with them, He says: "BEHOLD, THE DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH—
Heb 8:9 NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT THAT I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS IN THE DAY WHEN I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND TO LEAD THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT; BECAUSE THEY DID NOT CONTINUE IN MY COVENANT, AND I DISREGARDED THEM, SAYS THE LORD.
Heb 8:10 FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS IN THEIR MIND AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
Heb 8:11 NONE OF THEM SHALL TEACH HIS NEIGHBOR, AND NONE HIS BROTHER, SAYING, 'KNOW THE LORD,' FOR ALL SHALL KNOW ME, FROM THE LEAST OF THEM TO THE GREATEST OF THEM.
Heb 8:12 FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."
Heb 8:13 In that He says, "A NEW COVENANT," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.

This is bible truth. This is the everlasting covenant. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob never recieved the promise, so one would think it would be fulfilled in the earth made anew.

God’s covenant with Abraham and his descendants (or seed) structures the relationship between Yahweh and His people. Through Abraham and his descendants God intends to bring blessing and salvation to all the nations on earth, in other words to the entire human race. This purpose is stated first to Abraham (Gen 12:3; 22:18), and is repeated to his son, Isaac (Gen 26:4), and to Isaac’s son, Jacob (Gen 28:14). Of special significance is the expression “in your seed shall all nations of the earth be blessed,” which is interpreted by the apostle Paul to refer to one seed, namely Christ (Gal 3:16). However, it is evident from Galatians 3:26-29 that the covenant promise of blessing applies to all who through faith in Christ are counted as seed of Abraham. In Christ they all are one (vs. 28) and are accepted as children of God. In and through Christ the purpose of the everlasting covenant with Abraham is realized.
