How do we know which abominations are OK with YHWH, and which ones he finds abominable?

For example:

Leviticus 11:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Eating shrimp is an abomination according to Leviticus.

Leviticus 18:22 King James Version (KJV)
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

So is homosexuality according to Leviticus.

How do we know where to draw the line?

Leviticus 11:12
Strong's Hebrew: 8263. שֶׁ֫קֶץ (sheqets) -- detestation, detestable thing

Leviticus 18:22
Strong's Hebrew: 8441. תּוֹעֵבָה (toebah) -- abomination

Looks like two different words, which I don't know if it makes a difference in what you're asking.

We do know that the N.T. says these things:

Mathew 15
"17“Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated? 18But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man"

And

1 Corinthians 6
"18Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body."

I'm not sure how it all applies, it's just what comes to mind.

I think it would be best to avoid both abominations. However, there is small difference.

...."What God has cleansed, you must not call unclean."...
Acts 10:15

Some people believe that all food is cleaned by God so that is not anymore abomination to eat it. If person believes so, he is basically not going against the commandment to not eat anything unclean. Different question is, is it correct understanding of the matter. But, that is the difference between those abominations.

Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial...can we make a distinction where to draw the line?
HE moved the letter of the law unto our hearts so that we can handle the law rightly...combining it with mercy and compassion and love...for mercy will cover over a multitude of sin...

And not only for the one to whom we have shown mercy to.

This verse speaks of gentiles coming to Messiah. It has nothing to do with eating.

I have detailed this passage here: Peter's Vision

This verse speaks of eating with unwashed hands, not of eating what YHWH has declared abominable.

Did He declare it abominable in the sense that it is a spiritual defilement (because it twists His Image) or is the unclean meat "detestable" in the sense that, as we know, it is bad for the body?

I personally do not eat the unclean animals or blood, because I know that the diet the Creator gave is best for our bodies, but if I happen to eat pig that someone gives to me while at their party, or from some ministry that feeds the needy...I will give thanks and eat it.

I believe that there is a distinction.

The thing is, if abomination is a shrimp is homosexuality -

Then it's kind of like the context of the word evil in the old testament also which has a very wide range of application.

What is your motive for asking the question???

Some seem to believe that some things that YHWH has declared abominable are OK. I would like to know which ones people believe these are, and why they believe that they are OK, despite what YHWH says.

So in which ways do you apply the word abomination, accordingly, to the various places it can be found in scripture? By what measure do you apply varying definitions?

I follow what YHWH says. I don't care if it's a gay shrimp party or not.

Short list of NT laws regarding food and when it is clean or unclean to eat in the NT
All Foods are Lawful to eat:
1. All meats are clean(Matt 15:11,17; 1 Cor 10:23,30; Colossians 2:16; Romans 14:2,3,5,6,14,17,20; 1 Tim 4:34,5; Mark 7:15,18-19; 1 Cor 6:12, 13)
2. All food is made clean only by thanksgiving and prayer(1 Tim 4:3,4,5; Romans 14:2,3,5,6,14,17,20; 1 Cor 10:30).Ephesians 5:20 give thanks for all things in the Name of the Lord.
3. The kingdom of God is not what we eat(Romans 14:14,17,18,20)
4. All meats are clean so none can judge us in what we eat(Colossians 2:16; Romans 14:3,4,10,13)
5. What we eat is not a sin if we are strong in the faith and believe that any food is okay to eat and not a sin(1 Tim 4:3; Romans 14:5,14,20; 1 Cor 10:23)

When/How a Food Becomes unlawful to eat
1. If we eat and it become evil spoken of, it is a sin(1 Cor 10:30;Romans 14:16)
2. If we eat and it brings our brother to stumble or bring him to offence, it is a sin(1 Corinthians 10:25,27,28,29,32; Romans 14:13,20,21,24)
3. If we do not believe and we eat, then it is a sin(Romans 14:15,19,20,21,23)
4. We are to Abstain from eating meat with blood still in it(Acts 15:19-20,27-29; Acts 21:25)
5 . We are to Abstain from eating meat that has been strangled(Acts 15:19-20,27-29; Acts 21:25)

This verse has nothing to do with YHWH has declared unclean. It has to do with meat that one merely suspects was offered to Pagan gods.

Paul goes on to say on this subject:

(CLV) 1Co 10:28
Yet if anyone should be saying to you, "This is a sacred sacrifice," do not eat, because of that one who divulges it, and conscience.

It's hard to get around the "eat anything" part...wouldn't this include both sacrifices and unclean?

Right out of the gate, this verse speaks of eating with unwashed hands. There is no prohibition from cover to cover, in the Bible, of eating with unwashed hands. I didn't investigate the rest of your claims; as clearly your top claim is false.

That might depend on whether or not we can take Paul at his word. Paul declares that he is obedient to YHWH's law. I trust him on that; so I frame the rest of what he says in that context.

(CLV) Ro 3:31
Are we, then, nullifying law through faith? May it not be coming to that! Nay, we are sustaining law.

(CLV) Ro 7:25
I thank God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Consequently, then, I myself, with the mind, indeed, am slaving for God's law, yet with the flesh for Sin's law.

(CLV) Ac 24:14
"Yet I am avowing this to you, that, according to the way which they are terming a sect, thus am I offering divine service to the hereditary God, believing all that is written, according to the law and in the prophets,

(CLV) Ac 25:8
Paul defending that "Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the sanctuary, nor against Caesar did I any sin."

(CLV) 1Co 11:1
Become imitators of me, according as I also am of Christ.
