You say that NOW!?
Pfft.
If you really want the USA turned into a Christian Utopia then you’re going to have to get rid of that pesky Constitution.
Are you really ready for that?

Oh, we don’t already have Christian judges?

Oh, I didn’t know that Christians weren’t elected to public office.

I have no problem with the 10 Commandments everywhere, just as long as we follow through and kill all the violators. None of that “Christ nailed it to the cross” nonsense, you commit adultery, you die.

So you built a fine straw man. It is quite magnificent really. You are looking for a fight and I’m not biting. I bid you adieu.

straw man? It was such a perfect example of political atheism, that you won't even reply to it. Oh well that's ok. take care comana...

as far as pommer saying a christian utopia, I am not calling for that at all. I am simply doing what the united states was founded for. I have supreme court rulings that say america is a christian nation. But the constitutional first ammendment did two things, it protects freedom of religion but it also restricts religion from being legislated. So it's a catch 22. Before the bill of rights, religion COULD BE LEGISLATED! Things like....don't kill, don't steal, don't sleep with the neighbors wife, don't steal your neighbors chainsaw, could become law. But now they can't.

As far as Aryeh saying christians are elected to public office, well I would like you to look at just a few quick links that I found when I google searched 'nominee drilled over religion'

and see what you find....

Supreme Court nominee drilled on abortion, religious freedom at hearings

Senators take fire over questions for Catholic judicial nominee

but if you don't have time, just check this video....it's one of many you can find some on kavanaugh and another judge nominee.

Wait, you're asserting that no laws forbidding murder and theft we made after 1789?

You have defined all Atheists as one homogenous group. Your post is a straw man. You have had responses from me and other Atheists here that we in fact do not fit in your mold of anti-theist or more specifically anti-Christian. And yet you ignore that and continue to argue with your straw man Atheist.

sir simply reply to the topic I posted in this post here.....
Trump pressures mayor to reverse ban on drive up churches
that is.....if you wish to say I am committing a straw man, no atheist has even attempted to refute it, because you do hold to at least one view in the post.

I do not like the judges that he appoints but its within the power of the president to appoint who they like.

I am a ok with article six of the constitution which addresses the issue:

"...no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States"

I don't subscribe to your zero sum idea of rights.

No.

No.

Again, no one in the thread is advocating this. Saying that we are advocating this if we do not agree with your laundry list of wants is simply false.
ok then bernie sanders and diane feinstein should be removed from office because they violated that said law, correct?

I would like to see how you get out of this pickle.

So if I hold even one view you listed, I may as well hold all of them as far as you are concerned. Thus I can be stuffed into your definition wholesale. No, that's not how it works.

Speaking as a Christian myself, I'm curious to know why Christians should expect to be treated better than their fellow citizens who are not Christians. Are Christians rightfully entitled to special treatment from the government? The federal government shouldn't endorse or promote Christianity of any kind over all other religions in this country. The duties of our government leaders, including the President, doesn't include promoting and endorsing any sect of Christianity (including Conservative Evangelical).

The U.S. government is the “Government of the people, by the people, for the people." It isn't the "Government of the Republicans, by the Republicans, for the Republicans" or more accurately, it isn't the "Government of Trump, by Trump, and only for Trump's conservative Christian supporters."

You and me both.

It is only a matter of time before some here claim that it is the Jews' fault that we can't legislate any sanitation laws. After all they (your forefathers) made sanitation part of their religious laws!

so you admit, you held to a view I posted. Then the accusation that it was a strawman is false!

Are Christians somehow entitled to preferential treatment from the government? The government shouldn't endorse or promote Christianity of any kind over all other religions in this country. I'm hoping it was just an omission on your part. How about those of us with nom religion? Do Christians deserve to be treated better than us? Or are we the new Samaritans?

Here's one you should take a look at to help avoid using it over and over: false dichotomy.
sir I don't think I even used two things in a comparison on this thread at all. So I think you are barking up the wrong tree.
