Seriously have no idea what to do. I messed up Gods plan for my life and I feel there's no way back. Help?
A couple of suggestions.... When the panic thoughts hit you, mentally disagree with them. Tell yourself they are wrong. You have made it this far in life, you most definitely will turn things around now. Then pull back. Allow yourself to make changes that you rejected before. For instance, if you need a job, don't feel that you must have the best job in the world. Allow yourself to find a job that is easy to get. Whatever the issue is, tell yourself things will work out and allow yourself to scale back on your expectations. Know this: the people in our lives can lead us down negative paths. Whether your situation was completely due to your actions or if others influenced your path, there is a way out. Look around. Step off your path. Try something new, go somewhere unfamiliar--but keep your eyes on God. God will stay with you. Listen. Take a step. If you make a change and you hear your 'knower' crying out that it's wrong, reverse out. Hearing our 'knowers' and acting upon what we hear is akin to hearing the Holy Spirit. Fear does not come from God. Tell fear you recognize it, then go to God in prayer. Now, physically there are ways to off put panic as well. Three supplements may very well help: 1) in the morning, vitamin B-6, 2) in the afternoon or with dinner, Magnesium, 3) after dinner or before bed, L-Tryptophan. None of these supplements should be a problem for you, but check with your doctor if you suspect you could react to them. Try them for a month...do you notice improvement? Next is exercise. When we are anxious over our security, etc., we are programmed to act. So if we exercise when anxiety comes on, (anxiety may be our way of telling us "Danger, you need to take action..."), we can retrain our reaction to anxiety by going into action. In other words, we may retrain our reaction to stress from being that of feelings of anxiety to that of taking action. This is an important concept. Even just standing up or moving to a different room is a reprogramming effort. Next is sleep. We get tired of people telling us to sleep, exercise, and eat properly. But this advice is 100% helpful, 100% valid. If worry keeps you from sleeping, following the supplementation and exercise suggestions may help. B-6, along with other important functions, fosters energy. Magnesium relaxes our muscles. L-Tryptophan helps us to sleep. One doctor tests for levels of these three compounds when his patients have anxiety and depression issues. If one or more of them is low, he helps his patients through supplementation. Next, please know that many people are going through what you are. Many. You are loved. We are like children before God's eyes, children who are growing up. View yourself through God's eyes. We see our children as imperfect beings, going through all the phases from babyhood to adulthood. But they are always growing. God forgives you for your mistakes...you must forgive yourself. Forgive yourself and keep taking steps forward. Now, prayer. "Jesus, God the Father, and Holy Spirit, please minister to this person's mind, body, soul, and spirit. Reveal to them their next steps. Push away then replace all fear and misgivings with Your perfect peace. I ask this for myself, as well, and for all those whom You desire to minister to in this same way. Thank You for Your love, grace, provision, and guidance. In the power of Jesus' shed blood and resurrection life we send this prayer and receive Your aid. We also ask for help from your holy angels. Amen."
