Hello Vicky.
Here are some verses about why Gentiles are not under the law.
Romans 2:14
For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves.
Acts 13:39
And through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.
Romans 6:14
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Romans 6:15
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace?
Romans 7:4
Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ.
Romans 7:6
But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
1 Corinthians 9:20
To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under the Law.
Galatians 2:19
19 For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God.
Galatians 3:10
For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.”
Galatians 3:24-25
Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
Galatians 5:18
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.
Ephesians 2:15
By abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace.
1 Timothy 1:9
Realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers.
Hebrews 7:18-19
For on the one hand, there is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness for the Law made nothing perfect, and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
2 Corinthians 3:7
But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was.
Hi, I agree but when anyone Jew or Gentile come to Christ the written Law is at an end. The Royal Law of Love is now in effect and for those who think the Law of Love is a joke the Lord who was the Lawgiver on Sinai sat on another Mount. On Sinai the ‘ministry of death’ was given. On an unnamed Mount the Lord explained the difference between Law and Grace. Turn the other cheek , just looking in lust on the opposite sex is adultery, etc. this is the Royal Law of the kingdom. The contrasts between the two mounts is striking as well no living being could
The Abrahamic Covenant was duly established and we are told no other covenant could be made part of it. The Mosaic Covenant had a time that when it happened put an end to the Law. That deadline was when the “Seed” to whom it pointed to came it was at an end. This was the Son of Abraham and the Sole Heir Of Abraham’s covenant.
One last thing. When we are told the Mosaic covenant was added to the Abrahamic covenant we have made the mistake, some anyhow, of understanding this to be like our March but that is a different word and the word used here means placing alongside of the other not combining the two and making one covenant. It’s like two roads one going to the place it is supposed to end Written Law and one that is Eternal Abrahamic.
