Judas did everything out of his will, and he could had repented like St Peter did but he didn't.
Did he not give the money back, confess he had betrayed innocent blood, and hang himself out of remorse?

There are many theories of 666 and ome of them: It is a number or word that people used when they talked about the roman emperor, during the Roman empire. Not wanting to get into trouble for talking or ranting about the emperor, they use a number /nickname. For Nero, it was 666. Revelation says it the number of a human being.

If you look in the revelation there is a frog and out of that frog are three unclean spirits showing the counterfeit of one but three and three but one how Satan counterfeits the Holy Trinity with a Satanic trinity of evil. Each of which will come into this world as a man.

As for Judas, many Christians ask why did Jesus choose him even though He knew that he was the betrayer?
Some think that God caused Judas to betray in order to fulfill prophecy, which would be unfair. I offer the following explanation :

Judas would have betrayed the Lord even if he was not one of the 12 disciples. He would have spied on Jesus and reported to the authorities even if he was just one of the thousands of people who followed Jesus.

When the religious establishment plotted to kill Jesus, they offered a reward. Several people were tempted but they were afraid of the consequence upon themselves and family if they betrayed a teacher and miracle healer, whom so many followed. Judas would be the one who decided to go ahead.

Anyone who wanted to betray the Lord could have followed Jesus and reported His presence at the opportuned time. A large crowd greeted Jesus when He arrived at Jerusalem so it was easy to know that He and disciples were in the proximity. The opportuned time would be an hour when the crowd was not around, otherwise an arrest in broad daylight would cause a riot. Anyone who dare to betray jesus could have keep an eye on where He was. Without Judas, someone else would have done it. But it was Judas who decided to.

So why did Jesus choose Judas as disciple even though He knew? First reason is unconditional love, and second is damage control. If Judas was not with the twelve, he might have carried out his wilful act not according to God's timing. It is to manage Judas when he was around, instead of letting him be out there doing whatever he wanted at any time he chose.[/QUOT

There certainly are different theories. Gonna be great when the Lord has that road to Emmaus and opens our understanding. Even so Lord Jesus come.

John 13:18 - I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.
Yes what we know is Judas betraying Christ was to fulfill the Scriptures.

Great verse for here. Unless we believe things happen randomly how about this verse. Is it just an interesting comment or pointing to something else. In the Garden the
Peter wept. Judas couldn't control himself. Which one was more sorry for their sin?

I was answering another thread before I realized and then it got sent as well. Sorry. Hi Ricky, good question and really shows why we should not judge by sight. How often the corrupt is believed

Could it be that Judas was anti-Christ?

No.
Judas was chosen by Christ, heard his teachings, saw his miracles and even performed some. When Jesus sent his disciples out to preach and drive out demons, we are not told that Judas did not go, or was not allowed to. Jesus also taught that Satan cannot drive out Satan.

Anti-Christ has a head wound which Judas also has.

Judas didn't have a head wound; he hung himself.

Also I wonder about the number 666 it is the number of man. Anti-Christ is a triune being

We are ALL triune beings - body, mind and spirit.

We are shown angels coming as men a number of times in Scripture,

I would guess that they appear in the form of humans so as not to frighten anyone. The word "angel" means "messenger", so God's angels can even be human beings.

Angels, even fallen angels are made in the Image of the Lord just as men also are in His Image, the Image of the Lord Jesus.

WE are made in the image of God; human beings, Genesis 1:26-27.
There is nothing in Scripture to say that angels were created like this.

John says in his letters that an anti Christs is anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ, or Messiah, 1 John 2:22; there had already been many of those in John's day, 1 John 2:18.
We are not told that Judas believed Jesus was the Messiah, but we are not told that he denied him either.

The Lord did not mean Satan could not drive out Satan would not drive out Satan of course if it were to deceive he could and would do so. Satan after all is king over the fallen angels. We are told Satan knows all about Christ and shudder. Doesn’t mean a thing we are told the angels know the Christ shudder. No record Judas did or did not but this counterfeit so perfect he could fool the elect can and would do so he is the king of the Abyss. He was so good not one disciple knew.

Judas didn't have a head wound; he hung himself. I misspoke and of course you are correct and if anti-Christ is Judas or not the head wound does not happen until anti-Christ has come. Mea culpa

We are ALL triune beings - body, mind and spirit. Yes but Satan is three beings counterfeiting the Holy Trinity. We are shown Satan the father in heaven where he stands before God the Father accusing the brethren day and night. At the same time anti-Christ is presently being held in the Abyss while the Christ at the present time is in heaven both are waiting for the time to return. Lastly we are told the spirit of anti-Christ is at work in the world like the Holy Spirit that He counterfeits. Unseen like the Holy Spirit but you see the fruit of each. In the Revelations Satan is shown as a frog with three unclean spirits coming out of his mouth counterfeiting the Holy Trinity. Three but one one but three. Each trinity comprised of a father, son and spirit.

I would guess that they appear in the form of humans so as not to frighten anyone. The word "angel" means "messenger", so God's angels can even be human beings. A number of times we see angels as men. We also see men try to worship them when they come in another form. The angels are pictured on the Mercy Seat where they are revealed as a lion, , an ox, a man and an eagle. The Lord is revealed in these same way in the Gospels. Matthew presents the Lord as the King. The next Gospel Mark portrays the Lord as a Servant represented by the ox. Next is Luke who pictures the Lord as Man the Second Adam. Then is John’s Gospel which the eagle represents the Lord as fully God.

WE are made in the image of God; human beings, Genesis 1:26-27.
There is nothing in Scripture to say that angels were created like this. See above please

John says in his letters that an anti Christs is anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ, or Messiah, 1 John 2:22; there had already been many of those in John's day, 1 John 2:18.
We are not told that Judas believed Jesus was the Messiah, but we are not told that he denied him either.
again there are many angels but only one Angel of God Jesus Christ. You are right that men are also acting as in the spirit of anti-Christ but the being coming in the future is going to be the Angel of the Abyss. When the Abyss is opened anti-Christ and his fallen angels ascend out of the pit to make war with the Lord.. Anti-Christ will also be joined with angels held under the Euphrates. All these angels are being held until the time of judgment.

Hi strong, just when I was going to call it a night a great piece of work shows up and I have to answer, here goes
No.

Although Scriptures say Judas' deed fulfilled the Scripture, it doesn't mean God caused him to. The Bible is stating what Judas did, on his own free will.

Is Son of perdition capitalized in every translation?
Modern Greek texts will say "υἱὸς τῆς ἀπωλείας". None of the greek base text capitalizes it but no matter the original was unable to distinguish between case (there was no lower case). it would have been written "ΥIOΣ ΤΗΣ ΑΠΩΛΕIΑΣ"

Also I wonder about the number 666 it is the number of man. if judas was anti-Christ was given the Sop at the PASSOVER? The Lord's wats truly are not our ways He is pure Love while we vacillate between some and none for the most part concerning our enemies and those we don't like. What a God!!!
In Zachariah, The Word Speaks of the number that will parish.

Zech.13

  1. [8] And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. There is a new heaven and a new earth. Two thirds is 0.666....666%. There are those who will inherit the earth and those who will reside in heaven. Much of what Christ shares is written in the Old Testament. Since Christ was probably The One who shared The Truth in The Word, it’s because He was The Word of God made flesh. King David acknowledged Christ in his sharing of God The Father. My Lord’s Lord can be found;
Matt.22

  1. [44] The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Christ Spoke of Judas as

Luke.22

  1. [3] Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
John.6

  1. [70] Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Matt.26

  1. [24] The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
It had been better had Judas never been born. God The Father knows all of the future. The mystery of iniquity doth already work.

2Thes.2
  1. [7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
That is the only place that I’m aware of that Speaks of the mystery of iniquity. The fallen want to hurt God The Father as much as they can. However, they know now that God is all powerful and beyond their comprehension. There has never been a time when God The Father would have shown His enemy His great power. God The Father has never bragged nor has He ever had to show the fallen a taste of His Infinite Power with the exception of when they were cast out of Heaven en route to the earth. Now that the fallen know that they are hopelessly out gunned, they are trying to hurt God The Father.

Jas.2
  1. [19] Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
What is sin? Anything that violates God’s Word. How can we serve God The Father? Only through Christ can we serve Him. He whom Christ sets free is free indeed.

Luke.3
  1. [16] John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
John.6
  1. [55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Only Christ can free you. Have you received The mystery of The Word of God as it applies to the Verse in John 6:55? If not, I suggest that you must first understand The mystery contained above before being showed the meaning of the antichrist. The meat is The Word of God made flesh. The blood is The Holy Spirit that was the life’s blood of Christ.

John.6 Verses 53 to 54

  1. [53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
The Word of God above caused many who were following Christ to leave Him. That is because they could not understand the teachings of Christ. Now you know the mystery of That Word. Christ must reveal all of our understanding in The Word. The Spiritual meaning is what matters.

Please pray about this and consider why you must first understand the mysteries as they apply to your own salvation.

John.8

  1. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Judas was a type of anti-Christ.

He represents everyone who says if you know Jesus you will always accept him. I have discussed Jesus and his gospel with many who know Gods word, in detail and all the theology one can grasp, yet will condemn followers of Jesus and who have true faith in Him unto salvation as heretics and leading people to hell. It is the state of our hearts that determines our destination not our knowledge or even claim to have faith. John put it simply

20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
1 John 4

Without a purified cleansed heart no one will see God. Jesus put it simply

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Matt 5

Without a pure heart one will never see God. Seeing is seeing Gods face, because without purity one will die.

20 "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."
Exodus 33

9 Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father
John 14

Judas had never truly seen Jesus, His heart, and had never been purified. Jesus described this in terms of cleansing.

10 "And you are clean, though not every one of you."
11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.
John 13

Judas demonstrates being born again is a heart issue, and without a changed and purified heart everything is just about power, position and political revolution.

Judas why was he picked?
Why not? He was likely as qualified or more so than the other 11 disciples.

Just as the others were, he was chosen to be a disciple of the Lord as He exercised His earthly ministry. He was not chosen to be "a devil".

He was chosen to do miracles in the name of the Lord. He was not chosen to steal money from the money bag.

He did these things out of his own weak will just as Peter denied the Lord out of his own weak will and the other disciples fled out of their own weak wills.

No one forced any of them to do what they did.

The difference between the end of Judas and the end of Peter is the prayer of Jesus for Peter when Satan demanded to sift him like wheat vs. the turning over of Judas to the will of Satan without a prayer to the Father that he return to the Lord in repentance.

Jesus "chose" to pray for Peter and the other disciples. He did not chose to pray for Judas otherwise His prayer would have been answered.

Similarly by the way - God chooses to draw some in order that they will come to Jesus and He passes others by - leaving them in their state of rebellion.

He is no more to be thought of as unfair and faulted for those choices than He is for His choice to pray for Peter and pass Judas by.

We are all as guilty as Judas. It is by grace we have been saved through faith, and that, not of ourselves. It is a gift of God lest any one of us should boast.:)

Peter wept. Judas couldn't control himself. Which one was more sorry for their sin?
For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:10 ESV

Not judging but, except he asked the Lord for forgiveness with his mouth, his death was pretty much in vain.
