I have more than one cookbook with that instruction in it.That's a health tip not a cooking one.
I used to burn so many things because I didn't stay in the kitchen.Stay in the kitchen.
All my successes stem from that.
I have learned much about cooking from James Townsend and Kent Rollins, particularly about cast iron cooking. Both have YouTube channels. The other big one: don't spice scrambled eggs too early (particularly when you are whipping them). And to cook a good steak, don't throw it on the grill or in the skillet cold, let it sit on the counter for a while and get close to room temperature.
Townsend specializes in colonial era cooking. Most of the recipes are quite simple. He's a lot of fun. Kent Rollins is a specialist in comfort food and grilling. He changed the way I make white gravy and it is better.Thank you. i LOVE cast iron cooking. i'll check out their channels.
