  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Personally, I would be Leary of the "Christian Truthers"

They promote a flat earth and modalism.

Oh, ok! I found some valuable insight about the early church history and thought it could be helpful for others who might be interested in this.

I would urge caution too. I didn't watch all of it - just a bit. They got a few things right but ... Conspiracy theorists and people who misunderstand the context can easily lead astray.

I did a little reading about the sect around the web. What I found (brief search) is that someone appears to have taken Evangelical beliefs and laid them over a "Hebrew" culture/history (a lot of evangelicals lean that way in an effort to return to the early roots of Christianity).

But trying to interpret everything else from within that framework without the ancient understanding seems to lead to a lot of errors.

I watched just a bit of it, and there were several errors. It appears to come from a non-Christian group that denies the Trinity.

I beg you: don't believe YouTube videos!

The Hebraic teachings aren’t common in most Christian circles. Some are influenced by televangelists and Zionists. Oftentimes when people adopt that stance, they have difficulty fitting in with Christians and would not be accepted by Jews. Many gather together and form their own communities.

Errors occur because they’re not in Jewish settings receiving instruction and forming connections to provide insight on oral and biblical teachings. You can only glean so much from the outside.
