What is the doctrine and covenants you're referencing?

The Doctrine and Covenants is a book of scripture containing revelations from the Lord to the Prophet Joseph Smith and to a few other latter-day prophets. It is unique in scripture because it is not a translation of ancient documents.

The Doctrine and Covenants is one of four books of scripture used in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the other three are the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Pearl of Great Price).

The Lord said to the Prophet Joseph Smith, “This generation shall have my word through you” (Doctrine and Covenants 5:10). In the Doctrine and Covenants we learn doctrines concerning the eternal nature of families, the degrees of glory awaiting men and women after this life, and the organization of Christ’s Church on earth today. We also read about the covenants God makes with those who are willing to keep His commandments.

Concerning the Doctrine and Covenants, the Lord said:

“Search these commandments, for they are true and faithful, and the prophecies and promises which are in them shall all be fulfilled.

“What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same” (Doctrine and Covenants 1:37–38).

The bible is part of our scripture, we believe all of it, as well as other scriptures.

3. The LDS church teaches that as the Bible has been transmitted over the centuries it has “suffered the loss of many plain and precious parts.” They believe the Bible to be the word of God “as far as it is translated correctly” and that the “most reliable way to measure the accuracy of any biblical passage is not by comparing different texts, but by comparison with the Book of Mormon and modern-day revelations.” The KJV is the LDS church’s official English Bible, though it has been foot-noted in a way that interprets the meaning to compliment LDS doctrines.

4. The Book of Mormon teaches that only fools say the Bible is sufficient and that other scripture is not needed (“Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible.” (2 Nephi 29:6)). The Book of Mormon contains many linguistic similarities to the King James Bible, including entire passages duplicated word-for-word. For example, the Book of Mormon contains 19 chapters of the King James translation of Isaiah in their entirety.

The Koran teaches that those who fight again Islam will be cursed as well.

But as for me and my house - we will continue to fight their false teachings and those of the Mormon church wherever we encounter them and as long as we have breath to do.
What if the Holy Spirit told you to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Isaiah 29
8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
9 ¶ Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath
closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

It's obvious that the fighting against Zion prophecy in Isaiah is speaking of the time of Christ, not the time of the Mormons or Nephi. This is yet another prophet Nephi disagrees with.
You are aware that Nephi lived at the time of the birth of Christ, and beheld his resurrected body when he visited the Americas after his resurrection. Right?

We believe that the combination of the Bible, the BOM, the D&C and the Pearl of Great Price, and the words of current prophets, we have a much better understanding of the fullness of the gospel (both milk and meat as portrayed in the Bible) and what it takes to be saved, etc., etc., etc.

The Bible says that without apostles and prophets and others, the people can be led around like children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. (Ephesians 4:14)

With apostles and prophets and others it is a completely different story. We can be perfected, the work of the ministry can be accomplished, we can be properly edified.
So we can come into a unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, so we can become perfect men, unto the same measure of stature as of the fulness of Christ.
IOW we can be like Christ himself in his fulness. (Ephesians 4:12-13)

This is why we have the Bible and other scriptures, but most importantly we have current apostles and prophets to lead and guide the church through revelations from Jesus himself.

It's not just the LDS, it is the bible that has that interpretation too. Just saying.

But in this case 'all' does mean 'all'. We love 'all' of the bible.
Except for...

Nice try, though. You can deceive yourself, but you can't fool others who know better.

No deception, we love 'all' the bible that we still have. But that is why we love our other scriptures that are supplemental to the bible and fill in any holes where information is missing. And living apostles and prophets to give us current information to help us live the kind of life that Jesus would like us to live.

That's a bunch of ___! False prophets such as yours lead people away from Christ.

Sounds like fiction to me. Or at the very least, from another dimension, re: mandala effect.

It is too bad you believe false doctrines, false commandments, false prophets and false gods.

8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as
far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the
Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org...pdf/language-materials/64370_eng.pdf?lang=eng

These "Articles of Faith" don't tell even half of what Mormons teach. There is NO MENTION of the Pearl of Great Price, or the Doctrine and Covenants. There is no mention of multiple gods or "Heavenly Mother."

Mormons talk about milk and meat. The milk, if it existed, would be SOUR and the meat would be covered in MAGGOTS.

Recently, I've noticed the psychic abilities of Mormons after a heated discussion.

Try not to let it get under your skin, it plays to it.

Psychic abilities? What are you talking about?
The effects on the mind when they pray for you, it's somewhat suffocating, especially if malice is part of the thought push.
