Due to my age and heath reasons I can’t drink anything with caffeine anymore. I am also cutting back on soda in general. What do you think of caffeine?

I love it...I'm reaching for a can of Doubleshot Espresso right now...but, if you need to abstain for health reasons...I encourage you to. Be strong!

If I haven't had it for a little while, it messes with my brain terribly. I start thinking all kinds of negative thoughts and it's like there's no hope left in the world. It's hard to describe, but everything just feels dark and evil. After a bit, I get adjusted to it (though I get the morning headaches if I miss it).

I used to wonder why I was often feeling so "dark minded" and angry inside for no reason, and I finally connected it to caffeine. I suspect some people who are on anti-depressants or considered bi-polar may have only had to cut out caffeine all along.

I still drink things with caffeine to give my metabolism a boost, but I'm very skeptical of it's side effects now.

I've just finished my fourth can (today) of doubleshot espresso...

*I usually only have one or two cups of coffee a day...maybe a Rockstar as well...once in a while...

Hmmm... I tried one of those 5-hour energy shots once. I wrote a ten page paper for a college class in literally about twelve minutes. My hands were flying! ^_^ And I actually got a B, too, so it wasn't horrible quality.

Caffeine has a weird effect on me. I don't think it's very healthy for myself.

Nnnniicceee...yeah, it can effect me negatively too, but usually only when I am not doing anything with all the extra energy...like if I'm just sitting and thinking. But, I have been using it lately since I have increased my output (physically).

I love a strong cup of espresso first thing in the morning. I find it sets me up for the day (or night, when I'm working nightshifts). I just make sure I don't have a second cup within a short space of time because it leaves me feeling nauseous and queasy - and then I always need a loo handy :-(

I've hardly consumed any caffeine in my life unless you count chocolate, which doesn't contain a lot of it. That's because I don't like soda/pop, never tried coffee, and hardly drank tea until more recently. And more recently with having anxiety problems, I'm kinda scared of caffeine and avoid it (just can't resist chocolate, though ^_^).

I do consume a lot of caffeine, even used to drink coffee up to 2 in the afternoon. My family in general are known for being coffeeholics. ^_^ I've been working on cutting back however, and rarely drink soda anymore. Having too much caffeine makes me feel unsettled during the day, and also throws off my sleep.

Although I'm a coffee drinker, I'm indifferent about caffeine. Too much of it makes me jittery, and a small to moderate amount seems to have no effect whatsoever. I often drink decaf.

I'm not much of a soda drinker. Maybe I'll have some if it's free and there's pizza or burgers, but it isn't something I stock in my fridge.

Wow, caffeine has actually been really messing with my mind just after my last post. I've been anxious, angry, despairing and just impulsive... Maybe I'm simply getting too much of it? But how can some people drink like twelve cups and still function normally? I can barely handle one cup.

Oh, and I never buy soda. It used to be perpetually available at my parents' house growing up and I noticed a significant weight loss as soon as I stopped drinking it. I've always avoided ones with caffeine, except maybe Dr. Pepper. I found out Barq's root beer had caffeine the hard way... Everyone told me no root beer has caffeine and I had to find a can to prove it! ^_^

I also noticed a lot of weight loss after cutting out dressings from my salads when I was a teenager. I just kind of got sick of the taste of all of them, and I've never gone back. Of course, lately I've basically cut out salads too. I should really eat more vegetables...:p

Your diet could use some work maybe... Coffee made with Reese's cereal milk?:D

Just a quick morning thing. Had 3 burritos, a V8, raisins, dried mango, a gatorade, and a cupcake for lunch. For dinner...two chili cheese dogs and tortilla chips!

*I just tried out the Reeses cereal...I usually have Honey Bunches of Oats or mini shredded wheat.

Well, I love Cracklin' Oat Bran myself. Definitely the healthiest cereal on the shelf. I was kind of addicted to it, so I'm taking a break. Hmmm... It has been awhile though!
