And/or does "it" give you, or earn you, (the right), or make you, or cause you to (become) "stronger than", or somehow make you strong enough to overcome the enemy, and/or make or cause him to submit (to you?), and do (your?) "bidding", ect...?

Or cause you to have, or get, or gain "power" (over him) of some kind or some sort...? And, if so, from where (does that power come from)...?

And to the former right before this, also I ask "if so", how is it not "you" and all (your own) "doing", ect...?

Where is God in it/this, ect...? If it is all your own doing, or getting, and/or becoming, ect...?

This is my stock question for this: What made Zacchaeus repent to the degree in which he did? This man was viewed as the lowest of the low, scum, who had no friends than other tax collectors. I guess that many told him that he had to repent with no results, and yet something happened to make him totally change his mind and to not only pay back those he robbed, put paid them back fourfold!

So what changed his mind when he was pretty adamant that he was definitely not going to repent right up to that time?

If power can be had or attained this way, then what kind of power and the power to what, exactly...?

Now, I will note that I think this is a completely impossible task (for us) being as, and what, and the way we are, ect... But then again, there is the saying that "all things and anything is possible with God" also...

You'd have to be doing, or have to have done it "with God", or by God with you, in your, ect, I would think, for I don't think there is any other way... and that being said, well...?

How much of him remained the same as before, ect...? How much did not, ect...? I highly doubt that, even after his encounter with Jesus, that he became 100% and totally and completely and perpetually "sinless" afterwards...

But that (100% totally and completely sinless) "is" the kind of thing I am talking about here in this thread, as it applies to "power" or "powers", abilities, ect... To overcome or be stronger than the enemy, ect...

Whether that earns you the right to get into heaven, or any "other" rights at all, ect...

Agreed. But it seems that no one can find where the story of Zacchaeus is in the gospels so they can answer my question. Yes. Jesus did something that got Zacchaeus to repent - but what did He DO?? That's the critical question.

So what is the point in struggling with and trying to do away with sin...? Why not just not fight it and give into it, and not struggle against it, ect...?

I read it, and I'm going with my original answer: "HE SAW GOD", "met" Him, and met with Him, dined with Him, ect, and that caused his "supposed repentance that is not specifically mentioned", kind of thing, ect...

Or I'll put it another way: "His encounter with Jesus caused some kind of, notable and noteworthy to Jesus, permanent lasting change in him on the inside of him, that was notable and noteworthy to Jesus, so much so (to Jesus) that He (Jesus) wanted "well known and mentioned" to all, for all time...

But, I highly doubt Zacchaeus, ever attained to 100% total and complete, total sinless perfection, either at that time, or at any time here...

But, this is (way) "off topic" though, and I'm asking that we get back to the OP, OK...?
