All those things seem to fall under "just another way to look at things"...
Well that's true.

They are the way to look at things without prejudice, with an open mind, a properly engaged scepticism, a respect for the intricate work of tens of thousands of dedicated scientists, very many of whom are Christians, and a readiness to discard any hypothesis that is contradicted by the evidence. Alternatively you can look at them with a predetermined dogma, a closed mind, an ignorance of the facts and cavalier dismissal of evidence.

Which way do you think is likely to produce a more accurate picture?

This is very similar to how we feel when you speak of the Bible...

*maybe not you, because I haven't heard, but many of those on here that have belittled the Bible...

There are not many. Most of the "belittling" has to do with belittling a particular interpretation of Genesis.

Since I noticed that my posts were being cited in this thread, I thought I'd jump in.

Applications of biological evolution go a lot further than merely being "just another way to look at things".

For example, applied phylogenetics (i.e. the study of evolutionary relationships) directly utilizes phylogenetic datasets to solve real-world issues. This can include everything from pathogen tracking and identifying origins of disease outbreaks to comparative genomics and identification of functionally important regions of genomes. Such applications can be found in everything from medical research and pharmacology to conservation biology to agriculture.

You can read more about how evolution underlines a lot of work in comparative genomics here: Comparative genomics - Wikipedia

I thought I had already replied to this. So much for old age!

I consider the Bible to be an important collection from the standpoint of religion, culture, history, myth, ethics and literature. One does not have to be a Christian, nor think it divinely inspired, to appreciate many aspects of the work.

Rejecting the claim that it is the Word of God does not prevent me admiring the creation myth, appreciating the rich poetry of the psalms, or welcoming the goodness emanating from the Sermon on the Mount. As Speedwell pointed out any belittling (or, I think more commonly critical rejection) is typically of fundamentalist interpretations.

Perhaps... but some objections to a literal Bible are far more reasoned than others.

You do realize that was meant as a piece of comedy. I mean no person could be that foolish and ignorant.

So, you're saying that the whole video is a spoof...including the "Massive genetic study..."?

Any video that advertises "We will also take this journey with a very well know[sic] Scientist: Dr. Kent Hovind" has to be a spoof.

Dunno. That said, the article is an inaccurate description of the study in question (although to be fair, science journalism often distorts studies).

You can read more about that study here. It corrects a lot of the misconceptions that occurred as a result of inaccurate journalism and clickbait headlines: Did 90% of Animal Species Appear about the Same Time as Human Beings? - Articles

 Round and round we go.... the never-ending regurgitation of creationist "arguments".
This started me thinking. How did creationist arguments begin? As you have demonstrated, they have not evolved over time, in contrast to life. So, perhaps there was no equivalent to abiogenesis for the first creationist argument. Perhaps it just sprang into being like the spontaneous generation that supposedly produced geese from barnacles and mice from soiled clothing. Arguments, appearing from nowhere, fully formed, yet as ephemeral as a sea mist subject to the warming rays of the sun. And if ones arguments appeared in such a way it would be easy to suppose an analogous origin for, let's say, life. Hmm. Perhaps I should stop thinking. :)
