I wasn't aware that Paul's writings to the Romans or anyone else had anything to do with evolution.

Live and learn, eh?
Ya ... evolution was a deep-dark secret that even God didn't know about until Satan thought it up.

What does that have to do with Paul?

So those who jump ship due to the Bible's lack of accuracy are actually demonstrating the Bible's accuracy.

The Bible is right because it predicted people would bail when they discovered it was wrong?

Not a tough one to figure out, is it?

Agreed, seems like a pretty weak sauce "prediction".

That's not why I jumped ship.
Nevertheless you jumped ship.

Why you jumped ship is your business.

I'm sure there was some lame reason.

Nevertheless you jumped ship.
Your point was that Paul had identified the reason I would jump ship. He didn't. Therefore his "prediction" did not apply to me and you have not presented any evidence it applies to anyone.

Why you jumped ship is your business.

I'm sure there was some lame reason.
If I valued your opinion I would be offended.

Do evolutionists believe that the "survival of the fittest" mechanism (?) is still ongoing,or have we evolved past that?

"We"? Are you referring specifically to humans, or to living things in general?

All living things on earth.

Natural selection is always ongoing. It's part of the evolutionary process.

Prime examples includes antibiotic resistance in bacteria, pesticide resistance in insects and plants, and the effect invasive species have on ecosystems.

Among many other things, we humans inflict "survival of the fittest" on a great many other species.

So then why do we fight them?

*And isn't it us who have introduced them in the first place?

All living things on earth.

Well then, natural selection is still ongoing. Some animals, even members of the same species, are better suited for their environment than others.

Those animals will thrive. The others... won't.

Evolution is a description of the consequences of changing life in a changing environment... not a moral lesson or behavioral imperative.

Humans constantly try to deliberately change the environment... but we make a lot of mistakes.
