The very first mention of God is in Genesis 1:1. You can't believe in a literal God and then say He figuratively or allegorically created the world and everything in it; and then later believe He has a literal Son who created everything. Doing this ends up in you contradicting God and yourself which leads to falsehood.
Jesus was in the beginning with God as He is the Word of God and there is nothing made that was not made through Him. If you and others believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who created the world and all in it literally then it stands that you must believe the creation week is literal and all descriptions of the world and the things in it it are literal.
You see brother...your belief and attitude towards Genesis 1:1-2:3 shapes the way you look at all scripture following it and the world and everything in it.
