Are you saying every day is the SAbbath to YHWH?

As I said, the work they do on Sabbath was never forbidden.

I agree. The work of the original creation is a done deal. However, YHWH continues to create in other ways. Does He rest each Sabbath Day from whatever He creates throughout the past week or from whatever work He has done throughout the past week?
There is nothing new under the sun.

Yes, you keep saying that, but I doubt anyone knows why. When do you plan on tellings us why that is significant?
The first six days, there was evening and morning each day. The seventh day is a holy day, no evening and morning. Evening is the end of a day, morning the beginning. If any man wishes to be contentious and divorce himself from the "tradition" of the Sabbath; the scriptures do not mention evening and morning during the seventh day. Therefore the Sabbath has no ending and beginning. We know speaking is not considered physical labor or work, the law of Moses is read aloud every Sabbath (Acts 15:21). YHWH honored Sabbath each day of creation, YHWH did no physical labor, YHWH simply spoke the universe into existence (Hebrews 11:3).

Therefore the Sabbath has no ending and beginning.
Absurd. The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week. If it has no beginning, then the sixth day of the week would have no end and the Sabbath would never start. If the 7th day has no end, then the first day of the week would never begin.

Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

Why are you so contentious about spiritual things you do not understand? YHWH made the Sabbath holy, YHWH hallowed the seventh day; you show contempt with your ignorance. You are treating the Sabbath as every other day. When the Sabbath is celebrated or remembered is different from the seventh day which had no evening and morning. YHWH says to Israel which keeps the tradition of the Sabbath, they shall never enter his rest. Remembering Sabbath is one of the ten commandments.

There is a big difference between truly spiritual things and thing that man tries to make spiritual that have no foundation in Scripture. Your statement that the Sabbath has no beginning and no end falls in the latter category. I gave you Scripture refuting that belief and you give me an emotional response in return.

Yes, the Sabbath is holy and was hallowed. YHWH set apart one day, the 7th day, and made that specific time holy. If the Sabbath never ends, then every day becomes holy. Yet, we are told the other days are not holy, but common working days. I treat one day holy, the 7th day Sabbath. You treat every day holy since your Sabbath never ends, contrary to Scripture.

When the Sabbath is celebrated or remembered is different from the seventh day which had no evening and morning.
How can the Sabbath be different from the seventh day when the Sabbath IS the seventh day?

YHWH says to Israel which keeps the tradition of the Sabbath, they shall never enter his rest. Remembering Sabbath is one of the ten commandments.
Israel will not enter His rest as long as they live in unbelief. I don't live in unbelief. I remember the Sabbath even after the Sabbath ends. I remember it all week long until it begins again. I know it is one of the ten commandments and I don't treat it like one of the other six work days. I remember to keep that period of time holy.

There is no second week of creation. The scriptures make no mention of evening and morning on the seventh day, after YHWH good work was completed in six days.

I never said there was a second week of creation. Why did you bring that up?

Scripture does mention evening and morning as well as a beginning and an end to Sabbath.

Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which YHWH hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto YHWH: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
The morning of verse 23 is Sabbath morning.

2 Chronicles 2:4 Behold, I build an house to the name of YHWH my Elohim, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of YHWH our Elohim. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.
The morning and evening sacrifices took place EVERY day including every Sabbath Day. They were offered on Sabbath morning and Sabbath evening.

Let me ask you a simple question: when is your birthday? Does your birthday occur over and over again each year when you celebrate the day you were born? The day you were born is not the same day that you celebrate your birthday in remembrance, the year is always different.

My birthday occurred once. The anniversary of my birthday occurs yearly. The Sabbath of the creation week occurred once. However, we are not only celebrating the anniversary of the original Sabbath, but we are celebrating a brand new Sabbath every week.

Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of YHWH in all your dwellings.
YHWH is calling the 7th day the "Sabbath", not the "anniversary of the original Sabbath".

Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that YHWH thy Elohim brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore YHWH thy Elohim commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

He did not command us to keep the original Sabbath, but each new Sabbath every week.

Where is it written "new" Sabbath every week? Can you remember something in the future? Again, the seventh day is holy, we ought to keep it holy by celebrating Sabbath. How is the seventh day different from the other six days? You quote scripture out of context.

It doesn't have to say "new" just as Isaiah 65:18 does not have to say "New" for us to know He means "New Jerusalem".

Yes. I remember the Sabbath is coming every week and prepare for it accordingly.

It is different because it is the only day blessed, sanctified and made holy by YHWH. As I showed, that day has a beginning and an end, an evening and a morning. You say I quote Scripture out of context in order to justify your false teaching that the Sabbath has no beginning and no end.

It never says "new" Sabbath anywhere, it needs to be explicitly written in scripture if you are trying to build a doctrine or establish a particular theology. There is no such thing as a "new" Sabbath, because there is nothing new under the sun. Let us not go beyond what is written (1Corinthians 4:6). Much in the same way, there is no new birthday.

Does a new Yom Kippurim come every year? How about a new Yom Teruah, new Sukkot, new Feast of Unleavened Bread, etc.? Yes, they are new each year even though it is not explicitly written in Scripture. We keep a new Sabbath day each week. The previous week's Sabbath is the old Sabbath we already kept. The upcoming Sabbath will be a brand new one in which we have never met with YHWH or rested on.

The answer must assume the same kind of works mentioned in Exodus 35:2 in the OP.

However there were no specifics given. The Rabbis determined what 'work' was that coulnd't be done on the Shabbat by what was done in building the Mishkan. :)

But we know those works did not include good works such as healing.

The Bible does not specifically list those labors that are prohibited on the Sabbath, although it alludes to field labor (Exod. 34:21; Num.15:32-36), treading in a winepress and loading animals (Neh. 13:15-18), doing business and carrying (Isa. 58:13; Jer. 17:22; Amos 8:5), traveling (Exod. 16:29-30), and kindling fire (Exod. 35:2-3) as forbidden work.

It does not include healing in the building of the tabernacle so it would be permitted. To heal is to do good and to do good is not labor or work.

Lulav said:
Was He not resting from creation, of putting things back to rights? He would no longer have to do that so He is still resting from that every day.

Are you saying every day is the SAbbath to YHWH?
No, I'm saying that He has been resting from Creation, but not from other things. I think the term Sabbath to YHVH means it is in honor of He who is the Creator.

Lulav said:
I think He perpetually rests from the creative work he did on the Seventh day from the beginning.
We are to rest in honor of that one day and do it on a weekly cycle.
I agree. The work of the original creation is a done deal. However, YHWH continues to create in other ways. Does He rest each Sabbath Day from whatever He creates throughout the past week or from whatever work He has done throughout the past week?

No because he is outside our time. It is for us to uphold the keeping of the Sabbath in honor of the Creator.

Yes, it is true, the sixth day is the last day where it is mentioned by evening and morning

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The next verse is in the next chapter and says:

1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

So in reality we aren't sure exactly when he ended his work since it says that on the seventh day he ended it. Did he stop at sundown at the end of the sixth day? Did he continue through the night until the morning?

That he did no work, only spoke and that wasn't any work of His, the Creator?

I think you two are talking past each other because you are looking at this as if time is a line.

Hebrew time is cyclical. It goes around. When we go to sleep it is like a 'little death', we thank God when we awaken from it. It is a new day. That is why Yeshua said in his teachings

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

All of G-d's work was finished in six days. (Genesis 2:1) This is why we must finish our work in six days, as a sign that our work is finished we rest. If we refuse to rest, our work has not ended. You end work literally when you rest, it is unlawful to do any labor during the seventh day, your work has ended. Evening is the end of a day, morning is the beginning. Man must work while it is day, the night cometh no man can work. G-d call the light day, he called the darkness night. We know speaking during Sabbath is not unlawful, YHWH spoke the world into existence. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath; YHWH did only good each day. As you stated to do good is not labor or work. Sabbath has no evening and morning, it is eternal, holy, a spiritual day. Sabbath means rest. When a lawyer in a courtroom says he rest his case, the entire courtroom know he has finished speaking his argument.
