CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it just me, or are the ratings buttons extremely tiny and cause you to pull your device close to your face and very gently tap the rating you want with the very tippy tip of your finger?

I have the opposite problem when I browse the forums on my phone. When I'm scrolling through messages, I have to be careful to avoid selecting the rating icons with my finger. I think a couple times I might have given random ratings to certain messages I've passed, haha.

Please pray for my safety and that of everyone I work with for however long God intends for me to stay in Magnolia with Albemarle. Sure I have long been familiar with this particular job and environment but that doesn't seem to stop me from making bad decisions in seemingly minor situations on the fly sometimes. Just one of those things you do without thinking and there may not even be a rule specifically against it in the procedures and documentation, but nevertheless with my experience in the lab I then realize it wasn't the safest way I could have done it. No one is perfect, but I do need to try to be as attentive, focused, and willing to sacrifice time and simplicity in order to practice my occupation in the safest way possible. These are chemicals dangerous to human health that I work with every day, after all, and even so much as an errant sweep of the hand without remembering exactly where I am and what materials, glassware, chemicals, etc. are nearby can really cause a bad mess and possibly injure me or someone else. I always need to stay aware and alert to the best of my ability and so do my coworkers. Any one of literally a thousand things can go wrong and cause a hazard or danger. And of course, being rational human beings who don't enjoy getting hurt or seeing others get hurt, it doesn't matter if it is something we'd get in trouble for or not when we fail, we should want to stay safe by any means necessary. And I noticed a few too many careless gestures - however small but have the potential for big consequences - I had done today on a subconscious level. Please pray that I develop more safe habits when working, regardless of how much being more attentive of them can slow me down. It's worth it.
On the plus side, at least in the eyes of one person I seemed to do a lot of right today as well, as I came to realize upon reflection.
It's nice that a more elderly coworker - Margeret - takes note of even the simplest gesture that I use to help her along when I was doing so out of mere instinct. But I guess that would finally be one time in which I do live well up to my desire to be a knight. I was slightly taken aback at how appreciative she was for my doing so much as retrieving something from the floor for her that I noticed fall away as I walked past her area on my own business. Just to save her the slight inconvenience of having to bend her spine for that kind of thing. Honestly, I probably just helped instinctively out of more empathy than anything, considering how much I remember hating having to do the chore of clearing pine cones out of the yard when I lived in South Carolina as a child, having to bend over for each one. It gets tiresome after a while.
But hey, if an elder sees that kind of thing as a sign of thoughtfulness and respect towards them, then I am happy.

Too much adulting these days; I'm tired of working so much, having to talk like a grown up and act like a grown up at work. I'm all peopled out, so I think hiding in a blanket fort and coloring sounds so nice
