No, those laws do not forbid me to lie to you. They dont cover every act of lying, only certain acts. We already established that there is no law in america against me lying to you. I can legally lie to you under mans law.

You misunderstand. Writing the law on the heart doesn't mean that God doesn't first give written commands. It means that we obey what God wrote in scripture, in the heart, not just outwardly.

As I said. God's written law is obsolete and he provided the Jews as a living example of it's failings. We follow God's law written in our heart by the Holy Spirit.

Man's law includes and guides what man writes down as law.

Personal morality, such and when to lie or not, is in mans heart.

Because the Law is judgment for one's works. If you place yourself under the Law, you must obey it to be worthy of heaven. This is the Tower of Babel where the people worked to build a tower to heaven and not what God wants. God wants man to rely on the works of Jesus. Through Grace, it becomes a gift.

If God's LOVE is expressed through his LAW then is you LOVE someone are you doing something because of earning or because you love them?

God's love is expressed through Grace. Beyond any doubt, the Law is holy but through the Law comes judgment. If one can obey all of the Law, one becomes worthy. This is what God meant when he told Cain,

Through God's grace and the work of the Holy Spirit your question will one day be answered. I am not able to explain to you as the two represent different things. One is bondage (law) the other is freedom(Grace). For now I give you some scripture to meditate on.

Yes, and Grace comes through faith. Abraham received Grace because he believed. There was no Law for Abraham. He just followed God's Spirit. The same goes for Christians. We receive Grace through baptism. We are born into Eden, God's rest. or righteousness.

Hello all. Thought this would be an interesting topic for discussion. How can you have God's GRACE if there is not LAW that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL? If we do not KNOW that we are all sinners how can we see our need of a Saviour?

According to God's WORD, ALL those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

We are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8. We are all sick with sin and need a Physician *MATTHEW 9:12-13. If we do not know we are sick why would we seek a physician?

HOW CAN WE HAVE GOD'S GRACE IF WE HAVE NO LAW AND NO KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT SIN IS OR THE PENALTY OF SIN?
