This fund has far reaching effects beyond just funding.

Other than making some yahoos feel good about themselves, what kind of far reaching effects are there?

I'm really enjoying watching the posts which ignore this text while lashing out at the fundraiser.

Speaking as a veteran social justice and political activist, I love giving to charities that help people who are poor and who are being marginalized and demonized by Republicans. I feel like anything I can do to thwart their agenda and keep them from succeeding with the wall is a good thing.

I would like to know that as well.

There are people around the globe talking about this right now.

Also as I previously stated, this has put the Dems directly set against the citizens rather that Trump or his administration. When Cuck stated the wall is never going to happen for any reason he just blew his own flowery speech right out of the water. He has no intention of ever letting Trump build the wall even if the people want it, are willing to pay for it or find funding.

Thank you for your service, HOWEVER as someone who lives in the rural south and thus is heavily red I do not feel that many Republicans hate the poor whether they want secture borders As to other issues such as food stamps we want to help people but not enable them. In other words, it is fine if you need help for a short while or are disabled. It is another thing to depend on others and not try for months and months or years and years. The fact is we cannot support everyone. Particularly, those who cannot pull their own weight. For the record, I am disabled, but I still understand we cannot support everyone.

IF their own leader told them under penalty of death not to seek to cross the border, and enforced it, no wall would be needed.

If the wall had been successfully built 80 or 100 years ago,
there would be
a lot fewer poor (every year since , today, and future) in the United States (probably),
and a lot fewer idolators (for sure!).

That's not true. If so their would be no murder for fear of facing execution. There are always those who think they can beat the system.

They're laughing.

In your mind, perhaps. But DOnald said he's take responsibility for the wall -- and so he shall.

When Cuck stated the wall is never going to happen for any reason he just blew his own flowery speech right out of the water. He has no intention of ever letting Trump build the wall even if the people want it, are willing to pay for it or find funding.

Most of the people don't want it, however. You keep glossing over this part.

Most people do not realize that for over 100 years congress has had the potential to 'fix' things better for the poor, and instead has overall made things worse,
yet Yahweh, as always, is Sovereign, and set the boundaries for all things, (including the oceans!) , and even before the world was created had
planned and made full provision for everyone, especially for those who trust in Him and rely on Him.

That is true, as I posted: "...if they enforced it..." ...

we wouldn't have to enforce it (though every country does guard it's own borders anyway)

Prisons try that -- nevertheless, people still attempt to escape.

Well, that's one way to decrease the surplus population.

It's great knowing all this money that's been donated (millions upon millions of dollars) could have gone to help starving children, homeless and disabled veterans, battered women's shelters or any number of other organizations and charities set up to actually help people but instead, it's being spent on the prospect, only the hope that it will be used to build a giant wall in the desert to keep people out of the land of opportunity.

Oh but, ain't that America!

The Cato piece made that same point.

Logically you have to draw a line somewhere.

Nobody said to just pretend they’re not a cost. But nearly every person is a net drain on society as a kid. If you’re going to account for the costs of these kids (who are us citizens), then you should also account for the benefits they bring when they get older. They’re contributions as adults are still a result of their parents having immigrated illegally.

Except it isn't....as a adult, they are now responsible for their own behavior and choices. Their contributions as adults are their own...not their parents'.

No, I'm not a military veteran. I meant a veteran as in a person who has had long experience in a particular field. I said veteran because I've been in social justice and political activism for 27 years.

QFT. The pathetic part of this entire fundraising charade is that all the donate money will more than likely have to be refunded. If the money is not refunded and Congress approves its use, then a large amount of the donated money will have to be used to pay the taxes on total sum of the donations.

I seriously doubt there would be a lot fewer idolaters (for sure!) when so many right wing Americans Christian religion has been interwined with their patriotism for America. It is these Americans who treat the American flag like it's a sacred holy object that should be honored and revered (and never disrespected). They pledge their allegiance to that flag and to America. I also doubt there will a lot fewer sinners in America because of a border wall becaue this country has legalized inappropriate contentography and abortion. No one from an outside country passed those two sinful actions into federal law.
