perhaps you don't see that what you are saying matches that word

It does not. I read the entire transcript of Trump's campaign kickoff speech. I may have paraphrased rather than quoted, but that is what the man said. Perhaps you don't see it because you have Trump glasses on and refuse to see.

It has become far too convenient for those in the Trump camp to use “fake news” as a magic wand to dismiss the mountain of facts that challenges their world view. We need to firmly challenge them on this on a case-by-case basis.
just as the other side uses racist the same way - so everyone needs to stop - unrealistic to think our opinion is wrong and your magic wand words are ok

nothing that contributed to this thread in a real way - a lot of misdirect and unrelated or unverified

Okay... Do you have any idea of what you're talking about? Are you trying to make a coherent argument or are you just running around saying "nuh uh"? Because this thread is about the birther conspiracy and most my comments have mostly been related to that. How is pointing out conservatives' double standards towards foreign-born candidates not substantive to a discussion about the birther conspiracy?

so you think wiki and fact checker articles are reliable sources? - why because they agree with msm narratives? - and when a fact checker article disagrees with msm then it is conspiracy? - you do know that wiki is a peer contributed article - anyone can edit wiki anytime they want

Yes, when fact checker articles provide actual facts and actual quotes (which is what I cited them for, not for their opinions), they are reliable sources. When wikipedia articles are sourced and the article matches the source, then yes, wikipedia information is also reliable. Besides, the only thing I used wikipedia for was to show that you were wrong about Cruz' father being an American citizen.

sorry but we don't buy it anymore - if it isn't solid enough to hold up in court it isn't solid enough to be called fact - and even judges are so parisian that court decisions are not reliable either

Here's an interview with Ted's dad saying that he became a Canadian citizen while working in Canada:
How Ted Cruz's Father Shaped His Views On Immigration

Is that substantive and factual enough for you? Would that hold up in court?

This is just sad, really.

I've nearly lost all hope for my country that we could ever get back to normal. At this point, it might be better if conservative America and liberal America each went their separate ways.

Is Trump speaking some lost, ancient language only conservatives can understand? He speaks English, right? I speak English. He doesn't use very big words either. Pretty easy to follow along with what he said in his speech.

You need to realize, it's not that we don't understand him. It's that we don't like what he is saying.

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

It obviously serves your position well to imagine that the other side bends truth as much as the Trump camp. This is demonstrably NOT true. Examples:

- the laughable “birther” thing;
- climate change is a Chinese hoax (have you NO shame, not even a little?);
- the belief that Trump lies no more than a typical politician.

As for the racist thing, please explain how the anti-Trump camp has abused truth in this respect.

i don't know them and wiki says they have been called biased

look - we are on different sides of this - we both have our bias

i don't trust your stuff and you don't trust mine - so i harbor no ill will toward you - i just don't trust your sources

i have heard differently from my sources - so to agree with you i would have to hear the same info from my sources

it's just the way it is when people say outrageous things about things i know differently about -

i was an msm'er in past - i learned the hard way that they are not honest - and those that trust msm are biased in a direction that i already have rejected -

i don't have time right now to do a in depth search of all my sources about cruz - nor do i care to - what i heard from one of my sources satisfies me - the one i heard this from hasn't been wrong in the past - and i don't see why they would be now

cruz was born to a mother who was at the time an american citizen - that's good enough for me - i don't care about any other unrelated stuff

Since that is good enough for you, was it good enough for Obama? Do you think Trump hammering on about Obama's birth for years to be something Trump did wrong?

it might be better if we all try to get along despite our differences - that would be the mature thing to do -

so think of friendly ways we can do that and we will agree with you

Sounds like you have confirmation bias.

I have no idea what this sentence means or to what it's referring. Who don't you know? Who has wikipedia called biased?

look - we are on different sides of this - we both have our bias

That's irrelevant. A person can be biased and still present facts.

i don't trust your stuff and you don't trust mine - so i harbor no ill will toward you - i just don't trust your sources

What sources of mine do you not trust? What about them do you not trust and why don't you trust them?

i have heard differently from my sources - so to agree with you i would have to hear the same info from my sources

What facts have you heard differently? And from what sources have you heard them? I honestly have no idea what you're even talking about.

it's just the way it is when people say outrageous things about things i know differently about -

What outrageous things have I said (or repeated) in this thread?

cruz was born to a mother who was at the time an american citizen - that's good enough for me - i don't care about any other unrelated stuff

I know Cruz was born to an American mother. I've said that at least twice now (probably more, but I'm not going to go back and count). Not only have I never once challenged his mother's American citizenship, her citizenship is an important part of my argument that conservative birthers have applied a double standard towards Obama.

good - then assume the same of us

take note - i have never instigated a negative comment against any of you - you accuse us of something and i turn it around and give your comment back to you - because i don't want it and it doesn't fit us - imo it fits you more

why do you do that? - why can't we be friends even when we disagree? - why the negative flames/goads/mocking/etc?

I just have ears that hear and eyes that can see. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't like what I'm seeing and hearing from Trump or his followers.
